Since Osprey was established in 1974, all product designs have been passed to the hands of the owner and founder Mike Fortenhaher. He first created a backpack at the age of 16. At Santa Cruz, California, young entrepreneurs opened a retail store in front of a rental house, where backpackers and travelers asked for a custom fit pack that made Mike himself a few days. As the demand for a snug-fitting pack increases, Ospray has moved to a current home in Southwest Colorado. Today, Osplay is the vine of a variety of personalities, backgrounds, and abilities. Adventures are open to everyone and share a common belief that they can be found anywhere
