Soo perfect tools with my art project with making circle line, but expensive

I use this to layout circles in logs that I am going to chainsaw into blanks for my lathe. It allows me to set the depth to smallest edge of the log but yield the largest blank. Love it. I wish it had a holder built in for the pin you use to hold the center. If you loose it, you can just use a small nail.

Considering how much this costs, I'm very disappointed.I have been searching forever for a compass that can actually draw large circles.It is almost impossible to tighten pencil holder screw, it's extremely hard to turn and actually hurts.I ended up having to use my shirt over my thumb.Not sure how the pin actually works as when you put it in the designated hole, it's not exactly sitting in there tightly. Quite a bit of give.Save your money. 😑

Piece of junk! The retrieval button broke before I could use it. All made of thin plastic. Even the retaining screw for a pencil is plastic. I feel taken.

I’m using this to draft on paper plans for cabinetmaking where a compass is too small to use.

Concept is awesome,it will be useful if I can find something to use as an axis pon in the center hole however the hole is pretty small so not sure if I can find something or not....agrivating because the description says the pin is included,the directions that come with the product say,"hold pin in place" yet there is no pin. I ordered a used one and thought that's why it was sent back cause it was missing a kind of vital part to making this tool work. So I returned it and got a new one but it also did not have a pin:p
