Heartwarming and cute read
Review: the co-opRating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐Spice: 🌶️🌶️Overall: recommendedVibe: small town, overthinkers, traumatized by family, best epilogueThe Co-Op by Tarah DeWitt is a heartfelt journey through the tangled web of childhood crushes, misunderstandings, and the burdens of family drama. The story centers on LaRynn and Deacon, two characters who shared a significant yet tumultuous summer during their childhood. Misunderstandings and unresolved feelings led them to part ways, only to be reunited years later under unexpected circumstances.LaRynn returns to her hometown to handle her grandmother's business, only to discover that she must co-manage the inherited house with Deacon, the boy who once held her heart. The forced proximity allows them to confront their past and the unresolved feelings that have lingered over the years. Both characters are burdened by their childhood traumas and the complexities of their family dynamics, making their reunion a journey of healing and understanding. The beauty of this story lies in its relatability. LaRynn and Deacon are overthinkers, often trapped in their minds, making their journey towards understanding and appreciating each other even more poignant. The slow-burn romance is enriched with angst, witty banter, and undeniable chemistry, culminating in one of the sweetest epilogues I've ever read. The Co-Op is not just a romance; it's a story of growth, healing, and the power of second chances. If you enjoy slow-burn, small-town romances with a marriage of convenience twist, this book is a must-read.

A Cute Second-Chance Enemies-to-Lovers Romance
I love a good second-chance romance. I truly do. Especially when you add in banter and pranks to annoy each other. The Co-Op gave me all that and much more! It’s the kind of book that will have you kicking your feet and squealing at the tiniest of touches. This was my first Tarah Dewitt book and I absolutely fell in love with her writing. It was a very enjoyable read for me and gave me a feeling of renovating a house near the beachside, with all the summer essentials (volleyball, working at a cafe, bicycling, etc.)LaRynn and Deacon are such comforting characters and watching them rekindle their relationship was so heartwarming. The character development in this story is what truly fuels their story. The way the MCs find their way back to one another somehow by renovating a house, seeking comfort and validation within each other with the utmost amount of grace and maturity, is EVERYTHING!!These two deserve the world. I will protect them at all costs.read if you like:- marriage of convenience- enemies-to-lovers- forced proximity- “that’s my wife” 🔥- grumpy fmc- second chance- one bed- cute af epilogue
