Waterproof or water resistant? I can't say definitively that they are water resistant. (the mfg could/would/should have tested that if they would make that claim). But there is nothing about it that suggests they might be. Given there is a battery and circuitry and the recharge only has a dust cover, my suspicion is that it is Not Water Resistant. Without a doubt it is NOT waterproof.

No it is a micro usb. It comes with the recharge cables, but not the block.

Q: What kind of material is it on the inner side of the band that touches the skin?

Idk. I've been wearing them and they're pretty good. I run quite a bit at night, so they have worked well for me for the price. On one of the bands the charging port is becoming a bit loose.
