Awesome Compact GM Tool.
The tool is basically a quite intuitive, small form Android mini tablet in a rouged form factor. I powered it up on my desk with the included USB A/C cable, connected it to my wireless network / internet. i did the program updates then went to the vehicle. The DLC cable is a nice length to have plugged in and not be anoyingly short or long to work through the functions. I got it to save some $$$ on a Deler or Independant repair service, way overpriced P0315 DTC fix for which a simple reader/eraser won't clear. A, CPRL or Cranksaft Position Sensor Variation Re-learn proceedure through a scanner is required on my 2011 Chevy Avalanche, to the tune of $180 - $240 in my area. I tried the ECU dealers driving relearn proceedure 3 times without clearing the code. It took about 3 minutes once the new Creader Elite G unit was plugged into the vehicle connector to update the VIN auto detect firmware and get a comprehensive, and I mean comprehensive, system scan. Once the vehicle was up to opperating temp it took about 1 minute to run through the CPRL proceedure and clear the pesky P0315 code for under $120.00, and I have a nifty tool to use later. While this is a GM specific software loaded scanner there is a generic OBDll menu for quick check and erase on any OBDll equiped vehicle. In the store app you may purchase software for many other brands of vehicles to get the same comprehensive scans for them.Overall This is a very effective and cost efficient scanner for a GM vehicle and maybe others too with the needed brand software purchase.Pros;Very comprehensive GM scan tool with powerful functions.Easy navigation.Great length of DLC Cable.Cons;Need to purchase short term, monthly, subscriptions for other brand vehicles. Not a con if you want to use it on your GM vehicle and it extends the capability without having to have ALL vehicle software.

Quality verification lacking
The scanners I received from my initial order failed on setup. The units present the START, SYSTEM LANGUAGE, and TIME ZONE screens and then NEXT from the TIME ZONE screen opens the NETWORK SETUP screen where the unit just clocks. My WiFi broadcast matches the unit specs. I can back up to the START and run through the screens again but with the same result. The clocking does not time out and there is no option to escape this step. The User's Manual on page 11, section 4.2, paragraph 4 states at the NETWORK screen, slide the switch to ON and the unit will search for and display all available wireless LANs. The screen image is presented as fig. 4-1. This step does not come up on the units. I returned the scanners and requested a replacement.I received the replacement scanners today and these units performed the same as the first scanners. Since both scanners have the same defect, I can only conclude that the scanners are not being quality tested. Returning both scanners and requesting a refund. I do not recommend ordering Launch scanners.

Works well and saved me a trip to the mechanic.
Bought this for my 2024 C8 Corvette and needed it once to clear a module communication issue. Worked great for the advertised use. However, I also used it on my son’s 2009 Toyota RAV4 to diagnose and replace a bad coil. I couldn’t download the Asian car modules but it worked in generic OBDII mode and gave me the right answer. Not a one trick pony.

Slow start, but I'm beginning to really like this tool.
The media could not be loaded. Just got brand new unit. Connected up to USB and it turned on OK. Went to 'settings' and changed brightness, then tried to change sound level and the thing died. Doesn't power up at all anymore on either USB or plugged into car. Sent note to support and will see where it goes from there. I'll update when I get progress. Looks like a nice unit, although the screen is pretty small (4" diagonal). Screen is not much larger than my phone screenUPDATE: After 24 hrs and not hearing back from support yet, I decided to try it again. I got it to boot up on a usb power connection, but then it went dead again after the first two screens lit up. Later, I tried it in the vehicle again and... SUCCESS!! It actually booted up! I was able to run some diagnostics on the vehicle. Pretty cool interface. Not sure how long it will last or if it will boot up again, but I'll try later and update this review. I bumped the stars from one to two because I did get it to work (once, so far). I don't have a lot of optimism for long-term success though, so I might at least return this one and get another to see if I get better consistency.Update#2: I did end up sending the original unit back. It stopped being able to scan all the modules. I got the replacement unit a couple days later but it would not boot up AT ALL, either using the USB power or plugging it into a vehicle. After many, many attempts, it FINALLY lit up but would crash within one second (see video). The next day I tried again and finally got it to boot up, but it stayed locked on the initial "Launch" screen (see pic). I unplugged it but it stayed on that for HOURS. Looking over the unit, I found what I thought was a hole for a HW reset switch, so I tried a paperclip in there and after 10 seconds the unit reset (see pic). Upon applying USB power again IT FINALLY BOOTED CORRECTLY!! However, then I found out this was a USED unit, as it still had scans from a prior owner from March of 2025!!! UGH!Update #3. I've been able to use this unit a few more times. Wish I would have known about that reset button when I got the initial unit. If you have any troubles with the tool, try that reset first. I was able to scan the BCM module and troubleshoot a "high voltage" condition on my license plate illumination circuit... which turned out to just be two burned out bulbs. There are also many bi-directional test you can run, such as illuminating indicators on the dash.

Best money I’ve ever spent
Took 10 minutes to update software, 2 minutes to run diagnostics and 4 minutes to reconfigure break system. 10-10 user friendly and 10-10 for those who plan on doing your own work on 2020 and newer Silverado. Anyone whose changed breaks and rotors on a 2020 Silverado knows what I’m talking about with all the codes, THIS IS YOUR FIX.
