Atelier Cologne: Pomelo Paradis Cologne Absolue Vapo (30ml)

My favorite cologne, ever. It is fresh and unisex, and unusual. My husband and I both wear it and I carry the 1oz size with me wherever I go. Pomelo Paradis is neither overpowering nor weak; it is unique and deep, pungent in all the right ways without being woody, sweet, or bitter. Pomelo Paradis is a citrus scent that will ground the wearer to the present.The staying power is excellent given that this is a grapefruit (pomelo) based cologne. That said, because Atelier cologne is so high quality with such a high percentage of essential oils in each cologne, this scent should be avoided by anyone who is medically sensitive to grapefruit lest it interfere with medications.The price on this bottle when I purchased it was excellent. I paid $120 when this cologne retails for $200 from other retailers. I recommend buying Atelier from Amazon rather than other sellers as the discount for other scents is comparable.For those who like this cologne, I suggest also checking out Fresh's Hesperides Grapefruit (more bitter and pungent; does not last as long but also very grounding); Fresh's Sugar Lemon (sweeter; not as long lasting but still very much a lemon and not a cleaner scent); Atelier Cologne's Orange Sanguine (sweeter and longer lasting; still said to be unisex but reads morw female to me) and Atelier Cologne's Cedrat Envirat (a more bitter lemon) and Bergamote Soleil (bergamot heavy; tealike.) You may also enjoy fragrances from the cologne line called Commodity.Lastly I will mention my favorite feature of these unusual fragrances: my clothing does not smell bad aftet a day of wearing them. If I wear something more traditionally feminine like a perfume by YSL or another manufacturer, by the end of the day my clothing, including sweaters and pants, must all be washed. I never have that problem with this cologne or the others I mentioned. That is not to complain about those great scents but to emphasize how well Pomelo Paradis works as an everyday scent.

Smells like tangerine

I was super lucky to be able to purchase from Amazon, sold by Amazon. I'm sorry, I don't trust third party sellers with certain items. Fragrance/body care being the top item. This item came in new packaging and unwrapped, which is always a winner for me.This fragrance is all what I thought it would be and more. It has an amazing aquatic accord that makes you think of that first inhale of cold, wintry morning air. It's powdery, but VERY soft on that note. While this is marketed as a cologne for men, I believe it's unisex enough for women to wear who are looking for something that isn't warm, gourmand, sweet, etc. etc.I wear this day and night. I especially love spraying my pajamas with it and letting the scent envelop me as I settle down to sleep.Even though I discovered this brand after its pullout from the states, I'm absolutely in love with it and determined to find more fragrances from this brand. I already have Vanilla Insensee and Lemon Island and love those just as much as this one.If you can find reputable sellers, don't walk RUN to this brand. I promise you won't regret it!

It’s very lightly scented! May need to be refreshed after 3-4 hrs.

We got attached to this company while in New York and have stayed put ever since. We love Jo Malone and dyptique but this fragrance seems to wear longer and always provides a compliment. Perfect for men and women so men don’t feel bashful about this purchase- also you can have the little leather carrying cases monogrammed which is a wonderful touch for travel, birthdays and anniversaries.

The aroma is sweet and not strong, and the lingering time is short.For the duration of the lingering aroma, the perception may be relatively high.

The smell is amazing, but it does not last long. It is pricey a bit for the perfume that does not last that long.

... and this scent in particular. It was my higher end go-to and now ... well, as Atelier closes, I had to clinch a full bottle for delight and nostalgia. Sigh. A delightful spray.
