This book is such a helpful and encouraging guide for any parent navigating speech delays or disorders. Speech Therapy for Kids gave me the clarity I needed to understand the difference between a delay and a disorder, and the tools inside made me feel empowered to support my child from home. The therapy ideas and games are easy to follow, fun, and actually work to build real progress. It’s written in a way that feels supportive, not overwhelming, and I appreciated how practical and hopeful it is. If you’re a parent looking for answers and a plan you can trust, this book is a great place to start.

Supportive and Easy to Follow
This book is a fantastic starting point for parents concerned about their child’s speech development. It breaks down common issues in a clear, compassionate way and offers practical therapies you can actually try at home, like Lego Therapy, which my son loved. The tone is encouraging, not overwhelming, and it gave me both hope and direction. A valuable guide for any parent navigating speech delays.

Standard information, all sources not included, not proof read
The book itself has some good information, however, I was a little concerned that all of the references may not be included throughout the text. There were also some typos and the flow of the language presented was not easy to follow.

Great resource for parents
“Speech Therapy for Kids” by Yasmin Akhtar is a helpful guide for parents who have children with speech deficiencies. This can certainly be a very painful and frustrating experience for parents and this book serves to help parents by providing them with the potential early warning signs of speaking difficulties for children at various age levels. The book then goes on to provide different therapies that parents can do at home to help their child such as Lego Therapy. In all the stress that could potentially come from having a child with this condition, this book could possibly be a very helpful resource.

Basic info with some good ideas along the way
Anything that helps parents and their child is good news in my book. Our eldest son has speech therapy enthusiast he was younger, and I was curious to see how things have changed. As others have said the info is basic and a little vanilla in parts.I guess I was looking for practical tips and down to earth ideas rather than diagnosis info etc (which can be a little concerning if readers haven't seen professionals first)The Lego therapy section was interesting to me, and I would lived to have read more like this, with greater detail.

Helping Kids Speak and Grow
"Speech Therapy for Kids" is a wonderful guide for parents supporting their children's speech and language development. I loved how clear and practical the tips were, making it easy to use at home. I used this book to share child improvement innovations on speaking skills, and it really worked well. Let us pray for the most vulnerable children to find strength and healing from within. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you." – Jeremiah 29:11.
