The type of brush you use on a Yorkie will depend a great deal on whether your dog is in show or pet coat. Generally, Yorkies in show coat are brushed with a soft tipped pin brush so as to preserve coat. A slicker, even with soft tines, can still be too harsh for a long, drop show coat. If your pet is in short, pet trim then this brush is just fine. :)
