These are very very good.They act like a seat belt, press the button and the retract or release the tension.Have them attached to the side of my trailer to support the loading ramp, very easy to fit with a single bolt.Very easy to use and they are doing exactly what I needed them to do, should all be ok, no idea on longevity but they have now been fitted a few weeks and out in all weathers and no issues what so ever.Very pleased with them.
