Q: How is this for a face wash

I use it on a daily basis as my face wash....its great for the skin, especially for people with acne issues. It removes my mascara pretty easily too. Just be aware that black soap is a bit drying, so make sure to moisturize afterwards....but then again, I have dry skin issues with my face so maybe it varies from person to person.

Q: How is it orangutan safe if it's made of palm kernel?

"Our natural West African palm oil is grown and harvested by small-scale farmers in the Maritime region of Togo, from the town of Tsevie to Kpalime. The oil is extracted by our Fair Trade cooperative in Sokodé using traditional methods. When palm oil is grown as an industrial plantation crop, such as in Indonesia and Malaysia on newly cleared rainforests or peat-swamp forests rather than on already degraded land or disused agricultural land, it can contribute to the endangerment of animals such as the Orangutans. However, this is not the case with the small farms that we receive our palm oil from in Africa. Oil palms are native to West Africa and have been grown as part of multi-cropped sustainable small farms for centuries. Q: has anyone used this as a body wash? specifically for acne

Not as a body wash for acne. But I have used it for a body wash and it works great. Also help clear the acne on my face for sure

Yes, Black soap does work well for acne and oily skin. It can be a little drying, and Alaffia also has some light moisturizers and oils that are designed especially for acne prone skin.
