Amazing Delemont SAK
This is one of the best Victorinox SAKs available. Its versatility is unmatched, while still comfortable to store in a small pocket. It is a tool you can always go to for help. The design is well suited for urban EDC. The blade is sharp, and it locks for added security. Great value, 100% recommended.

Really sharp blade
It’s a Swiss Army knife. I love it. Has everything I need without being bulky.

Victorinox Evolution
The best multi-tool I have had. I’ve had Gerber, Leatherman and even the Victorinox Spirit. Other than the Spirit, the engineering and quality of the old tried and true Leatherman’s do not compare to the Evolution. The expected precision engineering is here. The quality with the exception of the Spirit is so much better than the Gerber or Leatherman. I carry my Evolution daily and it’s not as hefty and bare-edged as the competitors. I’ve always longed for a better grip and I now have it. This is a hybrid of the best the merger has produced. Locking blade, sturdier scissors, useable pliers. The Evolution fits so much better in my hand and is not slick like the other multi-tools mentioned. It gives me good grip which gives me better control than the others. And this in a more compact, smoother, better grip than those slick, large Leatherman’s. Much more ergonomic. Great selection of tools. I don’t foresee ever using the corkscrew (but you never know) but to have the eyeglass screwdriver screwed into it is definitely a plus. I’m totally satisfied with the tool. It’s everything I need and fits in my 5th pocket on my jeans or utility pouches on my tactical pants. No more over-sized, slick handled multi-tools. This is without a doubt the best multi-tool I’ve ever had. I’ve given all my old ones to friends and family. This is my everyday go to. Victorinox quality can’t be beat.

A Very Special Product
The Victorinox S557 knife is truly special. To understand why you need to know a bit of history with regard to Swiss army knives. For over 100 years there were two companies that produced SAK products. They were Wenger and Victorinox. Victorinox had an edge in market penetration and overall quality control but both products had more similarities than differences. After 9/11, sales of these products plummeted. Victorinox was better positioned to weather the storm due to product diversification. By the early 2000s, Wenger was on the ropes and at risk for being bought out by a non-Swiss concern. To keep SAK products Swiss, Victorinox bought them out but allowed them to run for almost a decade as an independent concern. Around 2013 they decided to merge the product lines under the Victorinox name. The S557 is the lucky result of this effort. In general (and IMO) Victorinox had a better awl, better scales tools (toothpick and tweezers) and a better can opener. Each of these tools is manifest in the re-imagined Victorinox S557. The original S557 had all Wenger implements. By contrast, Wenger has (had) better scissors (slightly serrated and with a spring bar instead of separate spring). Wenger also had a better set of pliers (slip joint and a spring bar). Wenger also had a better bottle opener in that it locked up when pressed into the screw. So, in summary, this product is a better overall tool that resulted in the merging of these two exceptional companies. Also of note is the fact that the smaller length Wenger tool (85 vs 91mm) benefits from the main knife that has a more generous "belly". Finally, a locking main blade is a welcome addition (IMO) to any SAK knife. Please consider this knife if you are looking for an "evolved" SAK product.

Nifty Useful Knife
I lost my veteran old Champion knife the other day and as I check around for something to replace it, I found this. It is the model s557 which has the pliers and the inline Phillips screwdriver. It is a slightly smaller knife in length with crafted scales on it to conform to your hands. It is made by Victorinox with some of the components of Wenger. The knife has a fixed main blade which is a few millimeters shorter than the standard blade in the Champion. It has a slightly smaller pair of scissors which have a spring loaded metal support to hold them open. Much better than the spring. Two things I don't like about the scissors is that they have a restrictor to keep em from opening too far. and they are sort of sarrated so you aren't going to sharpen them easily. The pliers are held open by the same ridged mechanism. They have two fulcrum points. One to close them completely. One to cock them open for small nuts etc. I don't see a really practical reason for this, they are so small. I used to use pliers as super tweezers and the ones in the Champion were micro-speck. You could pull a leg off a fly with them or a splinter out of your palm.. With the ones on the Evolution -- don't think so- not so exact. Now this knife has a locking blade. I like that. The lock mechanism in my opinion was way to hulking big. So I filed it down some. It is also not in the way and now does not even get caught in my pocket seam when I retrieve it. All the other blades are the same as on the Champion. All and all I like the knife. The slightly smaller size is okay. The tool is pretty well thought out. I still might go the extra 24 bucks and get an other Champion but I like this. Guess I have to keep it now that I filled on it. Edit on 6/28/2018: I have to ad this to the review. After trying to use this knife for a while I have found it's scissors to be absolutely worthless they don't open up enough to work with. I went ahead and bought a Swiss Champion to replace it.

It's a great tool. I've been using Victorinox for decades, and have never had an issue with any of their products.

Extra Safety and improved Phillips head position
I like the blade lock. It seems to be a nice safety feature. I like how the Phillips head was moved to the end. I no longer need to use the knife in a T configuration when using the Phillips head.

An excellent swiss army knife. This is one of the last vestiges of the old Wenger company Victorinox absorbed a few years ago. As such, there are some old quirks that Wenger enjoyers will.. enjoy? The pliers are different from the SAKs that have them like the deluxe tinker or the swisschamp, they can be extended to use on wider things. It also comes with a wrench, and a nail file/ cleaner that can also be used as a small screwdriver, I have used it on the small phillips they have on some battery compartments. This one also has an inline phillips, as well as a flathead/caplifter that locks when you put downwards pressure on it. Also has a locking main blade, if you’re into that kind of thing, while the disengage lever is in the way of the blade closing, it has a half-stop, despite this, closing with two hands is highly recommended. It’s also shaped like a Wenger, with a broader, more curved blade, it’s noticeably thinner stock, too. Also-Also, it’s lighter than I was expecting, and quite comfortable to hold.
