Toddler Sippy Cup with Straw, Zoo Steel Straw Water Bottle, Monkey

I was looking for something I could put in my son's lunchbox for his Kindergarten snack time. It seemed like everything else I tried either leaked or, worse, opened up completely....oy vey what a mess! I gave this cup a try and put it to the test. It has been a couple weeks now and we haven't experienced ANY leaks or wet backpack contents. It fits nicely in the matching lunch bag that I also purchased to go with it, or we just slip it in the side cup holder section of his backpack and attach the included Velcro strap directly to the backpack strap so it doesn't either fall out or get accidentally left on the bus...lol. We are very satisfied with it both in quality AND price. I was a little worried at first that it would be too small, but to my surprise, it holds MORE THAN ENOUGH to last through snack time, lunch time, or a lengthy car ride (even when I would fill half the cup with ice along with my son's favorite juice). It also fits perfectly in the cup holder of my car. The ONLY thing I DO NOT recommend is putting Ginger Ale in it. My son wasn't feeling well so I thought Ginger Ale would be a good alternative to juice. Well, apparently, the gas fills up inside the cup and when you open the top to take a sip....well, just be prepared for a FACE FULL of sticky Ginger Ale!! :-) I believe anyone who purchases this adorable cup (along with the other matching pieces in the set) will be more than satisfied. We have the matching backpack and our kids got these straw bottles in their stockings this year. We've had the backpack for a few years now and it's in great shape, so I didn't hesitate to purchase another Skip Hop product. This straw bottle is really nice. The woven handle has velcro and the straw is easy to take out and clean. I also like how easy it is to open/close. While these are new to us, I did fill it with water and didn't notice any leaks. This also comes with an extra straw assembly!

My toddler originally received this as a gift along with the matching snack cup. He loved it and it was easy for him to use. Unfortunately, we lost the bottle but bought two this time since he liked it so much. My son only uses it for water at daycare. I handwash it daily and haven’t had any problems with mold. Despite not using any abrasive sponges, the graphic has started to chip off slightly. I’ve been more careful washing the outside and so far, the new ones I just bought still look like new.

I love Skip Hop water bottles. I use them as on the go cups for my toddler. As long as they are closed, they don't leak. They are easy to open and close. They are easy to disassemble and reassemble. They come a part in three pieces. They come with spare pieces. All toddler cups leak and this one will leak if it gets tipped over while open or if the lid is taken off, but to me that is to be expected. I also use a little precaution when packing just to be safe, like I always pack it up right and in an outside pocket of the diaper bag, just in case the lid gets bumped open all the way. But I have never felt like I really needed to be concerned (I'm just the kind of person who packs travel shampoo in Ziploc baggies for those rare occasions when it does open in the bag and spill all over everything). I have tried one other version, the Phillips Avent and HATED them because it was too hard to work and take a part. The one thing I would change (and so I have on mine), I don't like the straps. I remove them (as soon as I get the cups) because I don't use them at all and I don't feel like seeing what velcro does after multiple times through a dishwasher. FYI, it is difficult to remove the plastic ring and strap because they are meant to stay on there permanently. TIP: If you aren't picky about what color or creature is on them, shop around and there are normally a couple on amazon that are a little bit cheaper than the rest. The prices fluctuate, so the lowest price creature/color won't always be the same.

Bought this to go with my son's Monkey backpack and Monkey Lunchie bag. He will only drink from straw cups right now since he is 2.5, almost 3 and starting his summer program, he loves his little Monkey backpack and water bottle, he drinks from it with no issue. I love that is came with a replacement nozzle and plastic insert in case it breaks.

We love this cup for leak proof drinking needs but I will say it doesn’t do great on airplanes. The pressure makes the water spurt thru the straw when you open it. Which was funny to me as my toddler got soaked. Not so funny for my toddler😂😂

Best straw cup hands down. No leaking, this is a perfect straw cup to introduce to your little one off the bat. We introduced this to our 5 month old when we started giving him water, and we have not looked back. We also introduced whole milk in this cup as well which made the transition from bottle to cup so much easier- no issues!

I normally love Skip Hop products but unfortunately, the Zoo Straw Bottle falls short in a few areas. On the plus side, it's cute, sized right for small hands and BPA free Yay! On the con side, the bottle DOES leak when the slide is open, which it is if your toddler is drinking. The air hole is a small opening (no rubber stopper inside), so if turned upside down, the water just drip-drip-drips out. Also, there is a very narrow area in the cap by the straw hole that is very hard to clean. Our cap subsequently started to mold there. For these two important reasons and also the hassle to assemble the 2-part straws for drinking, this bottle had to be recycled. I would not recommend this product.

***Image is starting to fade/ come off. It's 3/4 gone so I've been scratching the rest off little by little when I was it. Its been 3 months of usage of every other day so washing is every other day and the image is almost all gone. This is the only issue but not a deal breaker. The cup still does not leak (see tips below). The only way water spills is if I don't flip the top closed and my kid turns the cup upside down. IN THIS REVIEW: I'll comment on ease of use, my solution to the fabric part, the number of parts to clean and preventing leakage. I really like this bottle. It holds much more water than my son's other cup and the straw allows easy water suction unlike his other cup So he doesnt need to try so hard to suck through the straw. I do agree with other users that the fabric part should be easily removable because it becomes a pain each time and really who wants to walk around with it all wet. My solution was to remove it all together since i use it at home AND when we go out I just shove it in my sons bag pocket or my purse anyway. I just reattach it when I really need to which has been once so far. I read other reviews of the cup having too many parts. The bottle, straw, screw lid and the straw cover part, these are easy to take apart and reassemble in a snap. BUT if u keep the fabric part attached to bottle that will become another part. Concerning the leakage issue, once main lid is screwed on properly there will be no leak from there. Secondly when the straw cap cover is closed it folds the straw over the ONE tiny pin hole sealing it thus preventing leaks. I usually put the bottle where my toddler can reach it and let him come ask me to flip it up. Once he's done I flip it closed. Many times my toddler will take the bottle and I'll see it lying down BUT there have been no leaks so far. Hope this helps you with your purchase. If yours leaks even with all kids closed then it could probably be a defect and you should return asap.

It is the second one that I buy and I recommend. Easy to wash, doesn't leave a smell, resistant and water doesn't drip!

Loved the monkey straw bottle for my lil one. Have always been a fan of Skiphop products and this adds to my collection.
