Store-bought bread. I will say that the bread is much more dense than normal store-bought bread. It’s also not as fluffy, but the flavor is more rich and the moisture level is good. These breads are not sliced so you have to slice them yourself so if you buy them, make sure that you have a good bread cutter knife. I bought them in bulk and then froze the ones that I’m not gonna use right away. Review: Totally worth the insane pricing! - Let's agree that $15 for a loaf of bread is insane. Yes, this stuff is dense and heavy, so 1/2 the cost probably goes towards "free shipping". That said, I am Eastern European and nothing beats good bread on our list of everyday essentials. Living in New York for many years, I was lucky to find a tiny specialty store that carried this bread (in it's many varieties). After moving to California, the lack of substantial/grainy/fibre- and flavor-rich bread in my breakfast routine left me feeling a bit miserable ... As ridiculously priced as these loafs are, they freeze superbly, toast beautifully and always taste amazing, be it with a topping of hummus, avocado, butter and a slice of Swiss cheese (not for the lover of fluffy white toast!)

Very delicious
Very nice tast and much healthier than white bread in the marketplace. I slice it very thin and toss it in a toster Oven I sometimes add garlic and olive oil mixture spread over it and make a toast very delicious.

Getting more but cheaper shipping
Love the bread but to much for bread with shipping. Wish I could buy in my area.

Expensive but worth it
Hard to get good rye bread, let alone dark rye, in New Mexico. I cut the loaf in 2 or 3 pieces, wrap each in plastic wrap and then put in a freezer bag

SLICED OR NOT SLICED?
WHEN I ORDERED THE VILNIUS BREAD I REQUESTED THAT IT SHOULD BE SLICED. I RECEIVED IT YESTERDAY JULY4TH AND IT WAS NOT SLICED. I HAVE NOT TRIED THE BREAD YET, I HOPE IT IS AS GOOD AS I REMEMBER GROWING UP WITH THE LITHUANIAN BLACK BREAD, IT CAME IN A LARGE CIRCULAR LOAF. I AM EXTREMELY SADDEN THAT IT WAS NOT SLICED, THIS WILL HAVE ALOT TO INFLUENCE MY DECISION AS TO ODERING IT AGAIN

Very Good Rye Flavor
I have been looking for a good Lithuanian Rye Bread since the Baltic Bakery in Chicago went out of business. This is the next best thing that I have found so far. It is more like pumpernickel, but it has a good rye flavor.
