High quality replacement pump.
This pump is a replacement for my central heating system, the old pump failed due to the water level dropping (a failed cistern ball valve) which resulted in the pump running dry. That destroyed its bearings! This new pump is a little taller than the old one and because it was positioned beneath boards in the loft meant some more headroom was required. Not a big issue - and not the fault of the pump. This pump runs so quiet I couldn't hear it! I had to put my hand on it to feel the faint vibration to be sure it was running. Installation was very simple - about the same as fitting a domestic plug. Hope it lasts as long as my old pump, I have no reason to suspect otherwise as it appears to be well made.

Arrived quickly
Quality looking pump with seals and power adaptor from the box. Very efficient and quiet, great value.

Very quiet
Arrived very promptly and before the estimated delivery date. It slotted in where the old model was removed from. Its very quiet although it did have some noise after a few days which was worrying but may have been air in the system - sounded very different to the other pump when some air reached the pump. All quiet and working fine for a few weeks now

Better replacement than the older version
When the pump arrived and I took it out of the box I looked at sceptically because it’s so much lighter than the pump it’s replacing. Easily transferred into the isolated system fitted exactly where the 26-year-old pump came from. The initial start-up was a bit noisy due to a bit of air in the system but the pump self vented after that it was whispered quiet fantastic

A marked improvement over my noisy Grundfos UPS 2
Excellent pump and a marked improvement over my old Grundfos unit. Why ? ..does not need bleeding, more compact, plug in electric connection, virtually silent in operation. Plus there are loads of different operating modes to select. I just went with the default. Note that the pump flow is in the opposite direction to my old pump but after unscrewing the four allen bolts it's a simple rotation of the head if you are not happy with the panel being upside down. Worth exploring the full operating instructions online as the supplied quick start guide is basic and a tad cryptic. Easy diy provided you are able to isolate water valves either side of the pump. Also ensure you isolate electrics too. Call a professional if in doubt.

Easier to install than I thought.
I am no plumber, in fact before the pump failed if you had asked me what a Grundfos was I would have guessed it might me something from a Harry Potter book but this was easy to install in place of the old pump that sounded like a squirrel with a mallet had got in to the pipework. Probably took under an hour to replace, new style connector for power is a lot better than the original. You do need check the direction of flow arrow on the old pump and make sure you fit the new one with the flow going in the same direction. If this means your control panel is upside down, as mine was, it can be rotated 180 degrees by unscrewing the four bolts that fix it to the pump body, do that before turning the water back on to avoid a bad day, just saying. I would add that the instructions for setting the speed are as clear as mud for the amateur heating fixer. So if you are confused like I was the lowest setting appears to be perfectly fine for my Heatrae Sadia unvented system. Pump has been installed for a few weeks now and the squirrel has moved out.
