Soft toilet seat
I really like the idea of this and it works but there’s a seam in the back that is bothersome! I’m having to clean and disinfect it often. But I do like the height of it and the softness. I do recommend it if you have a low toilet.

Doesn't Do The Job Well
I purchased this for my mom after surgery last year but just recently had the opportunity to try it myself and boy was I disappointed! I mean it's soft and comfy enough but I found the inside edges of the open center often got wet (lady's use so aim wasn't the issue), and the open center is just too small to allow for wiping very well. Plus it was very difficult to get the velcro straps onto the toilet seat. I just tossed it in the garbage as I don't think giving it away or donating it would be sanitary, and it was too late to return. Bummer. Sounded so good.

Not for enlongated bowl
I ordered this product for my elderly father who needs both a softer seat and a little elevation. Unfortunately, with our enlongated bowl, the seat didn’t really fit well. It works but is less than ideal. I think it would be brilliant on a standard, round bowl. As we like the enlongated bowl we have, I’ll be seeking a different solution.

YOU WON'T BOTTOM OUT & YOU CAN WIPE THE VINYL!
I Have Been Using A Riser Since Having Right Knee Surgery Approximately 7 Years Ago Because Of Continued Rt. Knee PAIN, I Started With The Hospital's Formed Plastic Riser & The Height Definitely Relieved The Continuing Pain AFTER Surgery. I Tried Several Hydrocortisone Shots, But They Weren't Always Helpful. I Brought My OLD Version Of Riser With Front Lock, With Me, When I Moved. I Am NOW In A Senior Community With An Ergonomic Toilet! WOOT WOOT! The Water Holes (Recycling The Water) Are At The FRONT Of The Elongated Toilet SO My "Locking Riser" Would NOT WORK. After A YEAR & A HALF Of Research, I Decided On The BLUE JAY Because IT Was The ONLY RISER That (Almost) Met MY "WEIRD" Specifications. IT Has Been WELL Thought-Out For The Needs/Wishes Of Disabled Seniors & Poorly Designed, Ergonomic Toilets! I Wouldn't Say It Has Hooks/Loops To Secure IT To The Toilet Seat. The Padded Seat Has 2 VELCRO Straps That Secure IT To The Seat! Easy-Peasy. Since The Toilet Flushes Like A Geyser; The ONLY Thing, I Must DO Is Wipe The Inner Edge Of The Vinyl Cover. There Has Been NO Slippage Of The VELCRO Straps & It Is Slightly Warmer To Sit On Than Wood/Plastic On A Cold Morning. I Have Stuck To The Vinyl, Occasionally, When I Stand; But NOT As Badly; As Having The Seat Lift With YOU & Come Crashing Down At 4:30 AM.; Waking The Resident Above & Below Me! I HATE GETTING OLD, But THANK The BLUE JAY For Helping Me Manage The KNEE PAIN.

AWKWARD!
Does not really stay in place, and does not line up when in use. It did not suit with a weakened patient unable to manuver himself from bed to potty.

For many the height will be the best part.
The comfort, and the height made a huge difference.

Ideal and comfortable
I love this product. Made it much easier to use the bathroom after surgery. Highly recommend if toilet is low and bending to sit is unbearable .

NOT A "RISER"
The description says this was a 4" RISER. Well, the product is 4" high, but when you sit on it after being affixed to a toilet seat it squishes down to about 1" and nearly completely covers the opening into the toilet making it difficult for the pee to get into the toilet. Given the nearly absent opening into the toilet bowl I didn't even try to do #2. Nowhere in the product description did it say anything about it not being a REAL riser. Incomplete/inaccurate description. DO NOT BUY if you really need a RISER because this product doesn't rise at all.
