WHAT A GREAT IDEA, SIMPLE BUT INVALUABLE IN CLEAN-UP OF DISHES AND COOK WARE
I saw this product when I first started to use (new) cast iron cookware. You definitely do not wash cast iron as you would other cookware but you do want them clean. In the beginning I was a bit puzzled about how that could be done. I purchased this product and it completely answered the need. While not scratching the cast iron, it goes after any and all food (whether cooked/baked on or just slightly hardened from dinner plates etc.). Using it as I would a cloth, it gets the job done every time. What an ingenious but inexpensive idea. If you use cast iron cook ware or have other cleaning needs for which you might grab steel wool or a nylon sponge, this thing does them all. Once I rinse the cast iron ware after using this, I let the cookware dry and put this gadget in soapy water for a quick wash and rinse. It is something I would have purchased literally decades ago if I knew about it. Highly recommend.

Affordable and effective
This little guy has saved our nice cast iron pans and our plancha while still keeping them clean. It is very well made and an ideal size. (Does make a scary noise when it falls off the edge of the sink and into the stainless steel basin in the middle of the night.) The little ring on the corner is perfect for hanging it up to dry. A necessity for any kitchen with cast iron tools.

Pleasantly surprised it worked so well
I must admit I was a bit skeptical that this scrubber would work. I love my iron pans and have been searching for an easy way to clean them. This stainless steel mesh scrubber works like a dream. After using iron skillet (while pan is still hot) I run the pan under hot water and scrub with the mesh. Effortless and no dish soap needed. Dry pan and I use small amount of coconut oil to prepare for next use. Easy, peasy. Wash mesh scrubber with dish soap, rinse and let dry.

Great scrubber
Great scrubber. One thing people should watch out for is leaving it in a sink with a garbage grinder. Since it is slick, it tends to slide into the drain. You won't see it happen if you are running water in the sink with pots over it. Next time you run your garbage grinder you end up with hundreds of small broken apart rings which cannot be removed easily. Forget about trying to use a magnet to get them out because they are stainless steel and non-magnetic.

Exactly as planned!
So... I bought a couple of these years ago with the intent of never having to buy another scrubber for my cast iron. The plan worked well - great longevity and zero problems. Then COVID came. The situation was dire: fighting the Walmart goblins for TP and water was daunting enough, let alone the larger orcs hoarding eggs. I had to do something... but what? Hatching a hasty plan, I bought fifty more and had them delivered with Prime. Then I carefully linked them together to form a ringmail coif and shirt! Not to be too suspicious, I wear it under a hoodie. The weight is manageable as is the heat. I'm not much of a seamer, but I'm comfortable and safe knowing that I'm more prepared for the next encounter. You know what? It worked! Now I easily triumph over the goblins at Walmart when fighting for toilet paper - their puny nails cannot hope to penetrate my armor! The orcs fair no better, and I actually managed to best one who attacked me when grabbing the last loaf of bread. My family can now eat and poo in peace... thank you!!!

My new best friend
This little low-profile kitchen gadget has made my life indescribably easier. I never even knew there was such a tool out there, and as a result, my cast iron pans have suffered for it. I've only used this a few times, but already I can see the results. Not only does it clean them very efficiently, but could it also be that it's further burnishing my cast iron?? I fried an egg on one after using it and it was better than any non-stick pan I've owned (and cooked more evenly too). This thing was WELL worth the money I spent on it! My only minor criticism is that as I'm using it, it feels like the links in the chainmail have gaps. This might not be a problem (and might actually serve to better scrub the pan), but my concern would be that if one of them blows, the whole thing will come apart. This hasn't happened at all, so it is pure speculation at this point.

Works great
I was skeptical about getting one of these but these do an amazing job. I have a enamel coated cast-iron Dutch oven also and I could never get the bottom cleaned so I went ahead and tried this with a little bit of baking soda and this was the only thing that got the bottom surface of the inside of the coated cast iron clean. This does such a good job on regular cast iron too and it’s so easy and quick to use. If it gets a little gunky I just put a little bit of Dawn dish soap and rub it between my hands under some hot water for a minute and then I hang it back up and it’s good to go. Someone suggested that you can use these to clean your grill grates and I haven’t tried it yet but I plan on doing that.

GREAT BUY! WORKS GREAT!
I cook exclusively with cast iron pans and I don't like using steel wool. So this was a nice surprise! This chain metal cloth is excellent. I pour in a little dish soap, swirl the chain mail cloth around in the pan and it cleans beautifully. It's not hard on my hands either. I hang it on a nail above the sink for quick drying. The ONLY problem I found with it is that you need to keep the strainer in the sink when you wash your pans because it is very slippery and will slide right down the drain and fast. Otherwise, it is a great buy!

There are much cheaper ones on Amazon. Just as good quality. Also Amazon make this very difficult to return unless you live in an urban setting.

Love this. So much easier to clean my cast iron with and doesn’t strip it of it’s coating! I just wash it after with the rest of my dishes and hang to dry.
