Exactly the right size to twirl up, and secure in a bun, my medium thickness hair that's just below the shoulders. Can't seem to find this size in the stores. Most are those big claws and the hair just slips out after a hour or so. I even sleep with my hair in one of these, and the bun is still tight by morning. The plastic is stiff and solid, like it won't crack or break any time soon. I've used others that didn't last bc little pieces of the claws kept snapping off. Good product. Happy customer.

I am addicted to these clips. At this point I have about 6 of them and I leave them all around the house. I have fine-textured hair that is a little dense and is long, and these are the greatest thing I have found for twirling my hair up into a bun and out of my face. If I put my hair up wet in this clip, my bun lasts all day. They do break if you abuse them - I tossed one in the bottom of my laptop bag and it got crushed, for example - but I can clip them on my steering wheel, on my bike basket, or even on my dog leash for easy access when my hair is at its most annoying.

Holds long hair perfectly. I have long, thick, curly hair and have no issues with these clips. They are comfortable, too!

I really trust the Scunci (Conair) brand and have previously had their octopus claws (Walmart purchase) that have held up against the test of time; product arrived on time, and I am assuming it will have the same good quality and durability as my others (will update if this proves untrue). The only complaint of note is that the sizing is a bit deceptive in the description. I compared the measurements on my everyday Scunci octopus claw with the photo on this listing, and while they lined up exactly, this product was significantly smaller (see photos for reference). That said, it still works for me as it's my backup and has comparable claw strength, but it barely fits my hair (16.5" and still growing out to donate). The photo filter is also a bit more contrasted, in that the top clip is quite a bit lighter and less vibrant and the black one is more of a translucent dark brown than the picture would suggest. So, if your hair doesn't go much past your shoulders and is a light blonde to a dark brown, this should work for you!

If you have longer and fuller hair this clip works well at holding your hair up loosely without slipping.

This style hairclip works well with my hair, which is really difficult to put up (without hair spray/gel or multiple hairclips, my hair slips right out of hairclips). These don't fare so well compared to a version I bought years ago. My hair still slips out if I don't twist it or clip it just right. Quality-wise, these feel less sturdy/durable and the ends you grip to open the clip are very tiny - I have small hands/fingers and even I find it a little questionable. The "teeth" of the hairclip are thick so it looks chunky (not appealing in my opinion, but it's a personal preference). I noticed a type of gel or coating on the inside of the hairclip, which might be to help grip you hair. I find that it doesn't do much for me since my hair still slips out occasionally. Also, the color is not quite black, which I thought it would be based on the picture. It's more like a brown-black. The brown hairclip pattern isn't one that I care for.

I love the colors and matte finish. I have long, heavy hair and these hold it all up very well.

I had been looking for a ‘small’ hair clip to be able to clip up my curly hair at the top, like a little bump from the 90’s you know.. well this is too big for that FYI. But it’s perfect for everything for everything else! Especially for my curly hair. Great quality, light, has this rubber on the inside which I have never seen. Stays in hair all day and super comfortable. Very happy with purchase. Posted pics of all ways I wear it. I would classify this as a good everyday comfortable hair clip.
