Works basically as expected (it is a water bottle). Makes the tap water in my house taste better also.Things I've noted:-The neck of the bottle is fairly narrow, making it necessary to have some long-handled sponge or brush to clean inside the bottle, but that's hardly a deal breaker. The straw and cap are also pretty easy to clean with one of those pipe cleaner looking brushes.-I also have a tendency to chew the rubber mouthpiece/straw part of waterbottles, and after having this one for a month or so the straw is still basically like new, so unless you really go to town on it the rubber straw bit seems like it'd last a while.-The only time the bottle has leaked is when I threw it into a gym bag and accidentally hit the cap button in transit. If you keep it upright on the side of your backpack or whatever I can't really envision that happening too easily.-When you go to refill the bottle and unscrew the lid/straw, sometimes water gets held in the straw so make sure to wait a few seconds and let any water run out back into the bottle or a sink before taking the lid fully off. If you like to live on the edge, are impatient, or don't care about spilling water on the floor, feel free to disregard this advice.

Much better than the previous Brita bottles that I tried. This one doesn’t leak! It’s lightweight, and it’s not too difficult to get water to come out of the straw. The cap is also a great feature because it protects the straw, unlike some of their other bottles where the straw is exposed and rubs up against everything from the airplane floor to the bathroom stalls and my airplane neighbor’s feet. I saw some evidence that some leaking occurs out of the straw, but the locking cap keeps it contained from leaking out everywhere. I left the bottle laying on its side for a little while and when I popped open the cap, water spilled out, so just be careful when you open it up. I thought that water tasted fine out of this bottle, and I also found it pretty easy to clean. This model is a huge improvement over their older models. Good job, Brita!

This product is easy to use and significantly improves the quality and taste of NYC tap water. I cannot say if the quality is as good as bottled water but it is less expensive when I compare the cost of bottled water to the cost of the replacement filters.The only issue I have is that the filters do not last as long as advertised. After 3 weeks or so, I do start to notice a slight after taste in the water. That's when I know it's time to replace the filter; which by the way is very easy to do.The environmental impact should be pretty obvious; For each person that regularly drinks bottled water, how many empty plastic bottles end up in landfills?

If you’re hesitating on this bottle, just get it. It’s so convenient to have in your purse/backpack/car/whatever because you can fill it up at any tap or water fountain and have great, fresh tasting water. I bought one to bring with me to Disney world and it was the best decision ever. It is a bite valve to drink and it takes a couple of pulls to get the water flowing after you fill it up then first time but WHO CARES? It’s a great bottle, but do mind the “max fill” line and keep it upright when full to avoid the small leaks you might get. Will help you drink so much water!

This is a big improvement. But you still have to use a straw to get the water out. It's a bit challenging to clean as the filter is in the body of the straw, and when you lift the top out (with filter straw combo) to put more water in, make sure you hold it over the bottle because in a couple of seconds, the water will run out the bottom of the straw. And when not in use, I'm not sure the best thing to do with the straw body-filter combo. I have just let it drain and put it in tall glass to hold it.That having been said, it more than serves its purpose. I bought it specifically so I could use it in airports when I travel, and it is great for that. no more having to buy or throw out overpriced bottles of water at the airports. I also take it to the gym.Overall, very good product. Strongly recommend.

I love this -- ordered it so that I wouldn't have to worry about whether or not my office's filtered water was actually filtered or not (taste isn't so great). With this water bottle, I can enjoy great tasting and filtered water anywhere. It's pretty easy to clean, although the mouthpiece part does get a little yucky due to the nature of its design so you need to do a bit of TLC on that part. Otherwise it's great - it's leakproof and sturdy. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. Would be great for travel so that you don't have to worry about purchasing water bottles at the airport.

I use this bottle every day, it seriously helps me to cut back on my plastic water bottle habit and the water tastes fine! The only deterrent I ever noticed was the easy buildup of grime or whatever exactly occurs with the silicone mouthpiece. My easy solution is hot water and baking soda, set for 2-3 hours, and do a thorough rinse afterward. Doesn't leave a bad taste and cleans the bottle out thoroughly. Overall great purchase and I hope you guys take a chance with it, with commonsense this is a great purchase.
