Alarm Clock Radio, AKASO Digital Alarm Clock (K1-Black)

Nice. Compact. Very small footprint on my night stand. Worked perfectly this a.m. Did not set all the pre-set stations... just need one 24-hour station to get me up. All the multi-function buttons can be daunting, but the instructions were pretty clear, and I got it operating in quick time. Comes with two cables I cannot figure out... one cute one is pink and has USB connectors on both ends (neatly protected by removable smoked plastic domes), and one that looks like a headphone cable except it has plugs on both ends. These don't seem related to the function of the radio. Radio is very light weight, but has small soft cushions underneath that keep it in one place on the night stand. Glad I bought this one! Display is crisp and clear, has a temperature display that seems mostly credible, and the speaker/sound is more than adequate. After 6 weeks, the clock has maybe gained 30 seconds, so I'd rank the timekeeping accuracy as very good. Overall operation continues to be flawless. After more than a month... needed to set the second alarm function and used the instruction book. No problem, works perfectly, and reminded me how easy it is to set/reset the brightness of the digital readout. Sounds like I'm obsessed, but when I find a product that delivers so well at such a reasonable price, I am a bit over-the-top.

So I am not an technological idiot (advanced degrees and handle my imaging server), but I could never get this clock to function properly out of the box. I read the directions carefully and either the directions are not complete or the clock was defective. Also to set anything on the clock is incredibly complicated. Too bad because it has the USB ports and the functionality I would want and it is a nice size for my nightstand. I could never get it to dim to an acceptable level or to change radio stations. Buy at your own risk.

After searching on line for a small but easy to read clock-radio I ciscovered this little gem. The clock is very easy to read even with no glasses on and its very adjustable for dimness and it can even shut off the clock number. The volume control is right on top and you can just touch it to turn on and off for the readio once you set a station. It came with a wire to catch the fm signals and also with a wire to charge my ipad. What I like also is the fact that it has a battery back up incase the power should go off. It does not come with the 3 AAA batteries.The design is very simple and not really fussy to use. I would buy this again for a guest room.

I must say I made the right choice. This cute alarm clock does exactly what I need. It is very well made and of high quality at a good price. It is super easy to set up following the instructions. It has a big display and the number on the clock is easy to read from different angles. The rotary dial works smoothly to set the time and alarm. I also like the dim settings of the light so it's not so bright at night. I don't have a USB charging stand, so this clock serves as my charging ports (2 USB outlets) for my phone and watch. It even comes with a charging cable! Oh, the temperature it indicates seems accurate, although I don't care that much. All together, a nearly perfect device with great features!

Seller sent me two new Radio Alarm Clocks to replace the original nonfunctioning units. The new units appear better made and more importantly the radio part actually works now. While the overall design needs an improvement of design, the product actually works now. I believe the design still needs improvement to better select the functions. The radio functions by scanning all available stations and listing them 1 - however many you have. You then tune into the radio by selecting that preset number. Not the most fun way to tune in a station, especially when the buttons are small and hidden in the back. At least there is a forward and backward button, so you don't have to worry about shooting past the station you want.I thank the Seller for setting up to negative feedback. The alarm clock is useful if you are looking for a small basic radio and don't intend on changing the station much.Original review below:Poor quality and most importantly the radio function does not work. Bought two for my boys. Overall the look is decent and small. The clock works, however, the controls are not intuitive and difficult to use. The radio works on one of the two, but it the signal is poor (even with the AUX cable plugged in that is supposed to act as the antenna). Forget about changing the channel, too much of a pain and doesn't get a lot of stations. The USB charger works, but the supplied cable is poor. Can't comment on the alarm since we haven't used it yet - but not looking forward to trying. Would NOT buy again. I now have to buy a radio for both my kids. Total waste of money.

The features and controls of this clock are good but it has a serious bug/hardware flaw that freezes the clock when resetting time (like doing DST changes!).Good: The dual alarms are easy to manage and, while the fixed-length 10 min snooze is longer than I’d like, it’s clear when you’ve snoozed or not. No accidentally leaving the alarm on for your partner. Display is nice and large, even with the small footprint. Radio is actually decent (although a touch hard to set stations - like after the clock has lost power, see below)Meh: the temperature display is clever but terribly inaccurate.Really Bad: Thanks to batteries, power outages don’t lose the clock’s time, but the last three times I’ve had to reset the time (eg daylight savings changes) the clock has totally “hung”. All controls stop working. The : that usually blinks stops. The only way to unfreeze is to unplug and remove the batteries. Resetting the radio, alarms, and time. It’s such an annoying flaw, I’d advise against purchase of this clock.
