Excellent
These belts offer all the grit you need to sharpen anything from an axe to a fine blade. The finest grit, 1000, is so fine it basically gives a mirror-like shine to the knifes edge. The 120 isn't nearly course enough to really heavy-duty course work, and I put a 60 grit on for the initial sharpening of an axe. The gradations of belt grit ensure you've got just the right roughness for any stage of the sharpening process, and if you were to truly work through each grit, one after another, the knife would have a superlative edge. One bonus I noticed from sharpening this way is no burr is left. By the time you get to 1000 grit no leather belt is needed to remove remaining traces of a burr.I've been struggling with knife sharpening. After reviewing dozens of instructional videos, creating my own custom sharpeners, and trying a number of methods, everything from sharpening rods to honing stones to bench grinders to Dremel, &c. &c. I had an epiphany. I thought "People make 1/2" by 30" belt sanders for sharpening knives, why not use one of my spare 3"x21" belt sanders to do the job?" I searched, & sure enough, somebody also had that thought. So far I've only sharpened without having any angle guide, but the results have been EXCELLENT.

satisifed
nice belts, shipped fast, no complaints at all. Nice mix of belts for a knife maker. What i like is the seam where the belt connects is small and smooth so the blade doesnt jump each time it hits that seam like it does with the cheaper red belts

Super sharp tools
Want sharp knives, and tools? Quick easy way with these sanding belts. Wheel grinders are too coarse, taking off more metal than necessary leaving a rough edge. Higher quality fine grit wheels are expensive and need to be maintained. Turn your belt sander upside down and clamp it. Now with only feathery touches, you can create a bevel down to the 1,000 grit level. Most people would be very happy with that edge. I’m a woodworker so I want my tools to be super sharp. So I finish with 2k-3k grit water stones for the micro bevel and strop to polish that edge. For the money, unless you’re a production shop, this is the easiest most inexpensive way to go.

Belts are not labled with grit type
So far the belts appear decent, however, the belts are obviously cut down from an original larger belt. As such 2/3 of the belts did not have any markings indicating the grit of the belt.
