I love this paddle
It's really springy when you hit the ball, and seems to be quite durable after 3 weeks of use.I'm beating a lot more people on campus. The paddle comes with a case, but it doesn't fit properly. It's heavy, but I like the weight of the paddle.. You will get better with it over time.Looks premium, I believe it is.My other friends overpayed for their paddle when compared to mine.I recommend.

DHS A5002 paddle review
Pros-1. Sturdy construction.2. Good quality rubber on both sides.3. Great for improving your strokes.4. Heavy, makes you to control your strokes.5. Great cushion, awesome spins.Cons-1. The case/ cover it comes with is weird and almost useless. No place to keep your pingpong ball(s). Part of the racket sticks out.2. Heavy(8.12 oz/230 gm), takes time getting used to. First few days with this paddle your strokes may suffer.Other observations-1. The smell other reviewers are talking is of rubber.2. May need cleaning after every couple of days of use, tacky rubber.3. Heavier weight of this racket is a good thing in my opinion and helps reinforce good control.4. Comes in a neatly packaged box.5. Possible inconsistency among paddles of same model(see update below)Update 1/8/15-I have been playing with this paddle for a while.Good spin and control. Overall happy with the paddle.I recommended this paddle to a friend, the same model weighed different. My paddle weighed 8.12 oz and my friend's paddle weighed 6.92 oz, which is wierd.

Great paddle for beating Sam at ping pong, but no fish smell!
Before I got this paddle I was hovering in the bottom three on our official ping pong rankings at work. Within 2 weeks of receiving this beast I sky rocketed to the top of the list and haven't looked back! In fact, just the other day, Sam strutted into the office talking about how great his game got over the long memorial day weekend and how he can beat anyone in the office in a five game series! Can you believe that?! So I let him dig himself into a little hole, let him open his mouth nice a wide, perfect for shoving his own foot in, if you know what I mean!? So I casually walk up, and accept his challenge, if you can call it that, amirite?! I bet him 11-3; 11-4; 11-2 in straight sets! Ha!So from a product functionality standpoint, this paddle is incredible! It took a single, unathletic virgin like myself and turned me into the office stud! The reason I am giving this a 1 star review though is because it was mentioned in a lot of other reviews that this paddle has a strong fish scent, and truth be told, I bought this paddle based on that characteristic alone! I was incredibly disappointing when mine arrived and had no fish smell whatsoever! The closest thing to a fish smell was a vague toxic glue scent. Very disappointing. If you are expecting a strong fish smell, DO NOT BUY THIS PADDLE!!!!

Yikes. No likey.
This paddle is fake. It is not an actual DHS A5002. It's a knock off. When I received mine today the wood on the face of the paddle was warped. Maybe I just received a dud paddle but I'm disappointed. The rubber is good quality but all in all I wouldn't recommend it. I am sending back tomorrow.

Several little splinters in the handle
You feel the little splinters in the handle. Paddle is very heavy. The quality of the wood part is not that good. I prefer to pay more for the Stiga Pro Carbon or the lighter Stiga Evolution (I use this one). The rubbers look like good quality though.

Defines "bang for your buck" for novice/intermediate players.
I've been using this for quite a while now and I'm super impressed. The hurricane rubber is freaking epic, and the other side is actually even stickier though a little hard to control. Honestly, if you're someone playing at work or starting out, this will give you a lot of consistency and the quality for the price is just unparalleled. I read up on about 20 rackets and for intro/intermediate, there's no reason to spend more. The quality here is awesome.

Great paddle for balanced game, but heavy
A very good paddle for a balanced game. I'm a medium skill player. This paddle is great for rallying and defense. Takes the spin off if my opponents and allows for accurate counter attack. My only complaint...it is really heavy compared to other paddles I've owned. And the rubber has a very strong smell...but that disappeared after a couple weeks. Actually had to store them in the garage

Absolutely amazing for the price!
I'm an intermediate level player, and having played with 10+ premade table tennis rackets, I can say that the DHS series is easily the best for the price. The rubber felt great at first, but deteriorated in quality over time. I'd recommend this for beginning-intermediate players who play 2-5 times a week.
