Best option of the 4 I've tried
I have tried 4 types of vegan jerky. Here are my opinions: Louisville Vegan Jerky - 7/10 - Interesting flavors, some better, some worse, none bad. Softer than actual jerky. Overall pretty good. Soy based. Might buy these again. Primal Spirit Vegan Jerky - 4/10 - Bizarre flavors, some decent, some odd, some absolutely awful, and many do not taste like what they're labeled as. Very odd consistency, stringy yet also very tough, not at all like actual jerky. Wet / "basted" in the packet, soaked in liquid flavoring, sometimes drips out when opened. Hard to compare to actual jerky, more like it's own food type. Overall ... strange. Soy, gluten, mushroom based. Would never buy again. Noble Jerky - 8/10 - Good flavors, actually tasty. Decent consistency, sort of like very soft jerky. Similar to Louisville brand overall. Soy based. Have bought again. Best of the bunch. Beyond Meat - 6/10 - Closest consistency to actual jerky, chewy compared to the others. Flavors are charitably - bland, and uncharitably - not great. While the Primal Spirit brand has the *consistency* of shoe leather and flavors of nothing I've ever tasted before, the Beyond Meat brand has the consistency of actual jerky but at times the *flavor* of shoe leather. I'm betting the pea protein used in these does not help here. NOT soy based. Mung bean and pea protein based. Would not buy again.

Best Vegan Jerky So Far
I've tried a lot of vegan jerky and experimented with making my own. This jerky is by far the best I've had. The BBQ was both my and my wife's favorite. It has a great bbq taste with a little kick to it. More subtlety of flavor than the rest. I was surprised to see another review that said it was too sweet because I hate when savory stuff is too sweet but didn't find this to be so. The Original flavor is the worst. We wouldn't buy it again. It has a strange sweet aftertaste and not much going for it. My wife's second choice is chipotle and my second choice is teriyaki. Neither has the complexity of flavor that the bbq has but they are both good. They all have a consistency that is more like regular jerky than others that I have tried. I'm super happy we have found this brand.

What IS this?
Ok, so I was curious. I am NOT a vegan or vegetarian. But I doooooo love me some Jerky! I had to try it. I’m not sure what kind of sorcery goes into this, but it was quite good. The texture is oddly like real jerky and the flavor was legit! The original was prob my least favorite. It was just ok. Teriyaki though, yes please! The chipotle was good but had an odd after taste. BBQ was pretty good. I felt a bit like a sally eating non-meat jerky. Because really, is it even truly jerky? I dunno. I think it was a bit pricey for what it is, but I’d prob try it again and maybe even try to mess with my friends.

Not the best, not the worst.
As a self-proclaimed vegan jerky connoisseur, it’s my goal to try all vegan jerky options. Next up on the list was Noble Jerky. I was happy there was a multi-flavor trial pack option. The texture is good, but it lacks the classic jerky chew I personally seek in jerky. The texture falls somewhere between soft and chewy. Here is what I thought of the flavors: Original: cloyingly sweet. I would not purchase this again. It’s shockingly sweet which is not what I want in jerky. If they could reduce the sugar drastically, the taste seems like it would be pretty good. Chipotle: chipotle is not the primary flavor. It’s slightly spicy, but the flavor I can taste the most is cumin. Not being a fan of cumin, I would not buy this flavor again. Thumbs down. :( Sweet BBQ: At least they have “sweet” in the title so it’s not a surprise. The flavor is nice sweet BBQ, but the sauce they marinate it in is rather thick and it changes the texture to more mushy than anything. I probably would buy this flavor again if I were craving sweet BBQ. Teriyaki: this one is my favorite of the four flavors. It’s sweet, but that’s expected of teriyaki. I would purchase this flavor again.

Don’t wait order if you once loved beef jerky.
When I turn vegan I had no problem giving up a steak or chicken breast it really didn’t seem appealing anymore. But there are very few things that I missed. One thing was the pepperoni dried meat sticks at the quickie Mart when I pump my gas I know... gross but something about the “pepperoni seasoning“ and chewing the salty texture appealed to me. I’m not a sugar person. I thought I would give this ago and I can honestly say it tastes just like real meat beef jerky. I love the value pack flavors! barbecue is more like a smoked brown sugar bbq. Which I love... no to sugary. The Chipotle is on point as far as a “complete” Chipotle flavor. And Teriyaki is the same. The original starts off with a Asian Sweet like season but as you chew it it changes to a pepper flavor. The original in my opinion has the best after taste. The Consistency of the beef jerky is Chewy and gets stuck in your teeth just like real beef jerky. I am really blown away how good it is and how I can now enjoy beef jerky guilt free without harming a single soul. Minus the plastic bag... it came in but you get a good amount they don’t skimp.

Horrible flavor
I was buying different types of jerky to try out as I am pescatarian. I thought I would give these a try an let me tell you I wasted my money. I tried a piece from every bag and as soon as I took a bite and started to chew I had to spit it out. I could not swallow a single piece. This jerky just tasted off I could not even describe the flavor. I am a picky eater so I thought maybe thats it. So, I had my sister try a couple and she is a lot more adventurous with her food and she even immediately spit the jerky out. I would not recommend this jerky.

Beyond Delicious
Ive been trying for years to find a vegan jerky replacement from beyond meat jerky and I think this is best runner up. The texture is perfect, chewy but not hard. The flavor is out of this world! I can't wait to try the others. Teriyaki and chipotle are 10 out of 10, sweet bbq is a bit soggy and to sweet, original is pretty good .

Now, I'm no vegan, nor am I a vegetarian. In fact, I eat meat regularly. I am becoming more conscious about my eating choices though and this has led to me being more open minded about meat-free alternatives. Some years ago, every meat-free 'alternative' product was, well, crap at attempting to mimic meat. These days though, you'd be surprised. I've tried the Impossible and Beyond burgers and they were the first products to make me do a double-take and become unconvinced that I'm NOT eating meat! This Noble Jerky has been the next product to do that. Plant-base jerky? You're probably thinking it'll be soft, mushy, nothing at all like the tough, chewy texture of the good old beef stuff. Let me tell you - it is tough, chewy and really does feel like you're chewing on meat! It's heavily coated in flavouring, probably to mask the lack of a meaty taste, but it perfectly captures that jerky experience and I am very impressed. At £15 for 4 packs, it is a bit pricey, but it is being imported from Canada. Hopefully one day they'll expand internationally and we'll see these in stores. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend trying a bag. If not this 4-pack, just grab a separate one for less cash. I've tried the Chipotle and Sweet BBQ ones so far. You won't go wrong with either of those. The Chipotle has a bit of heat to it though, if that's not your thing.

I don't remember what real beef jerky tastes like anymore so I'm biased, but this stuff is a surprisingly good imitation. Looks a bit different than the "real" stuff (almost like someone took regular beef jerky then deep fried it) for sure, but the texture is definitely the most impressive part for me - they've somehow managed to recreate the "stringyness" of real beef jerky in a soy product. The flavors are all really good IMO (my only real criticism being that they could all use a little less sugar), with my favorites being Original and Hickory. I do enjoy the variety though! Downsides? Well, I haven't had jerky in a long time, so now I'm binging on this stuff. Been going through a pack a day at my current rate (which isn't the worst thing I suppose), but does hurt the wallet a bit. Silver lining is that my farts smell delicious.

I’m a meat eater for my sins but this jerky is better than the real thing it’s taste is lovely it’s firm and you can really sink your teeth in to it and I’m surprised to say it has led me to try other vegetarian food 5 stars .

So i bought this cause i really live jerky and i was starting to get curious in vegan product lately , when i found this on amazon i was suprised by the price , 4 pack for just 20$ ? Hell jerky is always so expensive i thought this would be a great idea if i like it , and to my suprise when i got it and tasted it , it had the exact same texture as jerky but with waaayyy more taste , since this obviously has more spice in it because it can't depend on real meat taste like normal jerky , it a bit more salty then expexted but still so much better in my opinion , i will definitely buy this again , i just love it

I mean, I kinda figured I would like this stuff... but admittedly I did not expect to like it THIS much. As a meat-eater... yes. I can tell it's not meat. BUT! It DOES have enough of a "meaty" texture that it feels like you're eating jerky. And for the few seconds that your brain is trying to process how soy protein can feel so much like beef... the tasty flavours kick in and take over. Shut up, brain! It's tasty! Downside: I wish the sugar content was lower. :( Bonus info: I also ordered one package of the hickory flavour, because normally I like hickory and wanted to try them all. Verdict? I now see why they left the hickory flavour out of the variey pack. For some reason it is NOT as good. It's like there's a soggy breading on each piece. Weird. I managed to get through the bag, but will not order that one again.
