**UPDATE** - Excellent TV but will require calibration
I was looking at getting a new TV for my living room as the existing 40" sony was 7 years old and I also wanted something bigger than that. So I went ahead after some research with the 75" and ordered it through Amazon.I was expecting that the enhanced delivery would involve fixing the TV stand but they just pull the TV outside the package and switch it on to show that there is nothing wrong or damaged. I did opt to keep the packaging just in case if I had to return this.Since this was a big screen both my wife and I took some time to figure out to how to fix the stand. After getting the stand and putting it up on the TV stand it really looked amazingly HUGE!!! After quickly finishing up the smart tv setup (I connected wirelessly) I connected it to an existing blu-ray player and played Avatar. With the default setting, it was good but I could see some clouding around the edges during total dark screens. After some more tweaking, I tried the calibration info provided (Just google for calibrate H7150 - It is the first site lcdtvbuyingguide)It made a big difference but I again went ahead tweaking and finally calibrated it slightly differently for various sources (cable TV, Blu-ray, PC connection and smart TV). Once I reduced the backlight to somewhere around 11 or 12 all the clouding was gone and it was pitch black!I found the Standard picture setting to be better (Energy savings) and having it as Warm2 (closer to 5600K).Reduced the backlight and maximized the contrast (95 or 100). Turned off the rest of options including Auto motion except for cable TV and Blu-ray where I kept it to custom setting with a 3 point for Judder. If you choose any of the Standard, Smooth etc then you will end up with a Big Soap opera effect. After the above tweaks, the picture is simply awesome and so clear and immersive! No issues with smart TV usage (including editing favorites etc). The only issue is sometimes when you browse using the built-in browser sites that contain embedded videos, the user experience becomes very slow and sometimes a lot of buffering. With respect to the sound, for a 1/2" LCD thickness the sound isn't too bad. I have an existing onkyo home theatre that I hooked up and it is awesome!I set the sound to be standard and switched on the DTS dialog for voice clarity and also set the equalizer in a < shape. With this setting, the TV volume is acceptable for general viewing. So here are the best things I see with this TV:A) The ultra-clear panel really does a great job (But you do see reflections of lights or windows in the screen)B) The 1080 HD is very good and local cable channels are coming up with awesome clarity.C) The smart TV - Netflix setup created an issue initially but after restarting the TV it got resolved (as mentioned in their website for trouble shooting). Infact I had Orange is the new black stream at "1080 Super HD" bitrate (I have FiOS). Youtube app is simply awesome! It actually streams in 1080 and my wife couldn't believe it was actually streaming from youtube.Vudu again had no issues as I had a few HDX movies that I streamed and everything was looking great!D) The black level (if calibrated correctly) is comparable with a plasma. Pitch dark black!E) Youtube pairing - I can search videos on my iPad and just stream it to the TV. Works very nicely.Iam not a big fan of 3D but I did try a few trailers and was able to see the depth. Even the 2D to 3D conversion looked pretty decent. But as Iam not interested in 3D, so I just watch it in 2D always. So if you can, go for the bigger screen. You will definitely not be disappointed!

Samsung 60" 3D 240hz Smart TV
Amazing television. This was the 6th or 7th Samsung TV I've purchased over the years now and I have never been disappointed. But this TV is truly mesmerizing. It's worth 10 stars. If you watch a 3D movie with a 3D Blu Ray player, that is actually a 3D movie, it's breathtaking. It's like being there. But what's so cool about this TV is you can watch normal TV in 3D mode. Now that is totally awesome. it isn't quite as immersive as some of these 3D movies themselves. But still being able to switch over to something in 3D is really neat. I thought I would have to replace my entire library of DVD's. Actually went shopping for 3d movies. Picked up a couple, Like The Hobbit (Battle of The 5 Armies), but I have all the others just in Blu Ray. And I couldn't justify replacing them all. So I came back home and popped in one and tried it, then another. And wow, it may not be quite as 3dish as the 40.00 disk, but it is 3D nonetheless. Now, one other cool feature of this set is the extra remote. it's like a mouse. You plug in an IR adapter and this mouse serves as a pointer. And you can control everything just by pointing at the set. So when you want to go to the SMART Hub and say pull up you Amazon Prime Account, you just use the Mouse. this TV is really cool. And now, very affordable. I love it. And if your house bound like I am, you'd love it. Samsung TV's are simply the best. Walmart may be selling the 60hz for 600.00. But spend a few more and get a really cool TV. The picture on this TV is absolutely AWESOME. And with Amazon Prime, it's delivered right to your door.March 2016. I've had this set a full year now. Haven't had a single problem. And still when people come over they are awestruck at the picture quality of this set. I have Samsung's in every room of my home, but none quite as brilliant as this. Before I posted this update I looked over some of the other reviews, and for the life of me, with so many positive reviews I don't understand why Amazon is posting the negative reviews on the main page for this set. This is a kick ass TV. In all aspects.

Great TV ..so far
My wife and I have had this TV for approximately one month or so. It has been fantastic. The setup procedure was straight forward. We have it mounted on the wall. The back accepted the standard screws that came with the mounting bracket. The TV picture is nothing short of spectacular. The images are crisp, the colors right on the mark and the contrast beautiful. My wife best describes it as "the people seem to be live inside the box". The picture is that good. In our case, we have tried the web browser and it is sufficient, however you will appreciate surfing the web on your laptop vs the TV. Its just easier. The other apps for streaming videos work well. The 3D content, although limited, is pretty cool. We bought and use the TV as a TV, without need for all of the special features previously listed. We also have a blue-ray attached which is perfect. We are not video gamers, but rather a 60yr old couple, who enjoy watching movies, sports, etc "the normal stuff". For that purpose, this TV could not be better. The picture is THAT GOOD. I realize there are better "professional ratings" for other units with bigger price tags. After extensive research on all models, I came up with this as the best bang for the buck. It is instant on, no waiting for warm up, the picture is perfect. That is all we need a TV for. Although the sound quality is OK, I would strongly suggest using a sound bar or surround sound stereo unit. With this type of large viewing area and total immersive entertainment experience, you need great sound. The TV produces just ok sound, as does any other TV on the market. They are TV's not stereos. We are the type of people that will return a product if it does not meet our expectations. Always. We do not "settle" for "good enough" . This TV has exceeded our expectations. Great set so far. No buyers remorse. See what the future brings.
