Wooden LP Record Vinyl Storage Crate on Wheels for up to 100 albums, by Retro Musique

These retro style vinyl cases are probably the best you can buy if you like this style. Even my wife who does not share my passion for vinyls, stopped in her tracks and commented on how professional these look. Assembly is easy, delivery next day and the finished article, once assembled, is robust and sturdy. As per other comments, not sure you could get 100 LPs in - more like high 80s which gives you space to move and sort. You could probably squash in a 100 - but if you are in the market for something like this, squashing an LP is not what you would want to do. I ordered two more in case they ever disappeared off Amazon. I always stop and think about the colour. But I come back to the same conclusion. It is the oak finish that looks totally 100% retro - the white wash finish appears to be white with black splashes and I'm not sure if this is retro enough. Teak looks a bit ordinary. But oak - superb. I seriousily doubt you could find better for the price.

It’s just perfect for a batch of LPs we found in the roof space. The record holder frame is very sturdy and on wheels. The stressed wood looks great. The plastic LP covers were such a nice way to preserve old albums. Very happy with this purchase.

A great record crate, handily on wheels, and easy to put together. Study and holds many LPs, which comes with a handy sailcloth cover. Liked it so much I’ve now got two! My only complaint is that it’s quite expensive and could be cheaper (as the price has definitely increased since I bought my first one).

Nicely packaged and looks great once assembled. Easy to put together. I used a battery drill not screw driver and recommend going slow as wood is soft. Very useful that these are on wheels and dust cover is a nice touch too.

This crate is a little fiddly to put together as you have to use firm pressure to hold surfaces together so that the joints are aligned perfectly before installing the screws. I followed the pattern of screwing in the corners first alternating diagonally to get a very good alignment, then installing the middle screws. Things to bear in mind: the little screws for the castor wheels may poke through the base so feel the inner surface of the base and if they have poked through then add a small metal washer to reduce the depth of the screw. Some of the screws had faulty heads where I couldn't get my screwdriver onto. There's a couple of spares of the long and short screws so it just about worked out okay. It would have been nice if the screws were better quality and brass coloured. Nevertheless, the finished item looks stunning and has received many positive comments. It's an expensive product for a few pieces of stained wood but that's all forgotten when standing back and admiring it once it has been assembled. One final tip: if you are storing a lot of records into this crate then spread the load evenly by dividing the records at each end of the crate (so that the two lots of records are placed at each end of the crate and face each other). I think that putting them all at one end will lead to issues eventually.

Absolutely brilliant item . I purchased it to store a lot of 78’s I’d inherited. It was so easy to put together and to my surprise it came with lots of plastic sleeves to put the records in . The little cover add a nice touch and keeps the dust off the records . It’s very sturdy and the wheels make it super easy to move. 100% recommend.

This crate fits together very easily if you're reasonably competent at that sort of thing. However, it would be pretty easy to put the ends on upside down or to not quite get the corners flush- but that's hardly a disaster. Before purchasing, I asked a question about whether this would accept albums with thick outer protective sleeves and was a bit confused by two people saying 'yes' and two 'no' (but thanks for taking the time to answer anyway). For the record, no pun intended, it doesn't really take albums with covers as it's a pretty close fit without them. You could sqeeze them in but they don't sit comfortably and drag on the sides when lifting in and out. I suspect that the reason for two people saying it is big enough is that it's possible to stack the albums what is, technically, sideways. Then there's plenty of space on either side but you can put fewer albums in (as it's longer than it is wide). Also, the albums that are at what is then the front or back of your stack would tend to fall through a small space between the base and sides. (This isn't a design fault because if the albums are in the correct orientation, they sit across the gap; not in line with it.) So, I should have gone with the people who told me they wouldn't fit with covers as I do like to keep mine protected. For anyone who in my situation, the slightly more flimsy protective covers would fit OK - it's the firmer ones with the pressed plastic 'seams' that add a bit too much width. If you need to check your own, the inner dimension of the holder is exaactly 325mm (32.5 cms). So for me, this was ultimately a mistaken purchase. However, I'm still giving it 5 stars as it does do what it is supposed to and, other than the width problem, is still a lovely bit of kit - though perhaps a bit expensive for what it is.

Exactly as described. Very sturdy and easy to put together. Unlike some 'build it yourself' wooden furniture, this storage unit is drilled perfectly and all pieces fit together very well indeed, with the added bonus of an attractive cover and a pack of clear vinyl LP protectors. Also looks great - so much so that my wife is happy to have it in the living room next to the Hi-Fi. Very happy...

The items arrived in a timely manner and well packed. The included LP outer sleeves are of a good quality. It was easy to assemble and looks great, exactly what I expected. Recommended.

This is not the best quality but you know what your getting. It does the job and easy to assemble.You get a record holder that is what you should expect for the price. You pay for what you get. I am happy with this product.

Takes about 30 minutes to assemble. Instructions aren't bad - I'd recommend an electric screwdriver for a secure fit. I love the wheels - so much easier than moving around heavy record boxes. I got 80 LPs in the crate pictured above, including several double LP's and gatefolds - this even includes the George Harrison triple LP box. Could you conceivably fit 100 LPs? Possibly, but they would all have to be single LPs without gatefolds, which is simply impracticable. A good rule of thumb is you can fit the same amount as in a small moving box (as pictured). I need 2 or 3 more of these but the seller I bought this from two weeks ago is out of stock and the other sellers are asking more than twice as much (almost $100 each). No thanks, I'll wait for a more reasonable price.

Parfait comme caisse pour mes vinyles mais un peu petite vis-à-vis de la quantité d'entreposage annoncée (du coup, une deuxième est en route). Autre détail, pour les vis qui permettent la fixation du fond, ne pas trop les serrer sinon elles ressortent (merci les nombreux commentaires à ce propos !). Sinon, rien à signaler, le produit est conforme, reçu rapidement, super simple à monter en 10-15 minutes et même sans visseuse !! Franchement c'est à la portée de tou.tes.s. Le style est sympa et les roulettes vraiment pratiques. D'ailleurs, au moins une roulette avec un frein serait un (très gros) plus ! Et pour la robustesse, à voir dans le temps, mais cela me semble bien parti pour durer. Seul bémol, un peu cher... sinon, RAS. Je recommande pour celles et ceux qui recherchent la simplicité et ne veulent pas se prendre la tête à chercher une caisse et des roulettes dans différents magasins.

Das Material von der Kiste ist prima, dachte anfänglich beim Zusammenbauen das es "Billig" gemacht ist, doch das ist wie ich finde nicht der Fall. Alles hat sich prima Zusammenbauen lassen und Ersatzschrauben waren auch dabei. Was mir nicht gut gefällt ist die Abdeckung! Diese war bei Erhalt der Ware leider schmutzig! Aber im großen und ganzen ist es ein sehr schönes Produkt und hübsch anzuschauen. Die Rollen lassen sich super drehen und auch rollen. Klare Kaufempfehlung. Alle Schallplatten passen perfekt in die Kiste......
