Maxwell is world renowned as an expert on leadership. This book is written in simple language with helpful llustrations. I'm using it as a text to train young leaders in what is required of them at each level as well as challenging them to grow and mature into each of the subsequent levels. Great reading. Simple but not simplistic.

Absolutely touched by this book where John C Maxwell, takes you on a journey on the 5 levels of leadership. It’s fascinating to see from a Birds Eye view the 5 levels and how they intertwine with one another. What’s more impressive is that Maxwell provides the reader an opportunity to find his/her space - this is where reality kicks in and for some it’s a kick in the gut. Realising your not where you thought you would be or that in different spaces your inconsistent but the fire burns to take ACTION. Maxwells 5 Levels of Leadership lauten: Level 1: Position – People follow because they have to. Level 2: Permission – People follow because they want to. Level 3: Production – People follow because of what you have done for the organization. Level 4: People Development – People follow because of what you have done for them personally. Level 5: Pinnacle – People follow because of who you are and what you represent. Jedes der fünf Level baut dabei auf das vorhergehende auf und mit jedem Level wird es leichter, zu führen, da der Einfluss auf andere mit jedem Level zunimmt. Darin spiegelt sich auch eine von Maxwells zentralen Credos wieder: “Leadership is influence. Nothing more, nothing less“.
