I bought this to support my German Shepherd with EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency), and the difference has been clear. I’ve tried a few other enzyme powders over the years, but this one seems more potent and better tolerated; it has less odor, a smoother consistency, and mixes easily into wet food without clumping. Within about a week, I noticed her stools firmed up, her appetite improved, and her coat looked healthier. She’s maintaining her weight well, and there’s no more stomach gurgling or grass-eating between meals. The powder itself smells a bit strong (which is normal for real enzymes), but it’s not offensive once blended with food. I appreciate that the company includes clear dosage guidance by weight; it makes it easy to adjust for larger breeds. A little goes a long way, and the 8.8-ounce container lasts longer than expected. I have a 10 month old sweet beautiful black Lab who was recently diagnosed with Endocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). She had diarrhea since I got her at the age of 4 months. It was a nightmare having such a big dog with diarrhea. Unfortunately it took a long time to get this diagnosed since she had anxiety and also had Giardia which was thought to be the cause. Once diagnosed with EPI the Vet prescribed Pancreatic enzymes which cost about $430 a month thru their pharmacy since she required a tsp with each meal 3x a day. They worked very good and stopped the diarrhea which was great. However, due to the cost I decided to look around for something cheaper….hopefully a generic brand. I came across this Pan-tenex. Since it had just about the same enzyme ingredients except for additional Vitamins A, D & E, I decided to give it a try. I figured I could give her the extra vitamins thru a puppy vitamin. Well to my surprise the consistency to her stool was even better with this cheaper brand and with auto ship is costing under $160 vs $430 with the prescription brand. I’m also giving her a multi puppy vitamin to supplement vitamin A, D & E which Pan-tenex doesn’t appear to list on the jar. These enzymes are life saving because without them the dog will literally starve to death since they aren’t processing and digesting the nutrients. I am giving her a low fiber kibble 3x a day so it is easier to digest mixed with the Pan-tenex and a little water….4% or less fiber which they list on the bag. Make sure you mix the kibble and powder well with a little water and wait 15 to 20 minutes for the enzymes to activate. If your dog has EPI try this brand of pancreatic enzymes. She doesn’t mind the powder mixed in.. Her weight is good and her coat is shiny. You will know in a day or so if it’s working by the consistency of the dogs stool. It’s the consistency of the stool that tells you if your dog is properly digesting its food and getting the proper nutrients. If it doesn’t work and the stool is soft you can always go back to the expensive brand and look further in the meantime. Try it you have nothing to lose!

My dog developed a malabsorption issue that would’ve caused her death I’m sure. After many veterinary visits and an emergency trip to the veterinary hospital, she was still getting progressively worse. Last Christmas I thought would be her last—but I happened to find this product and took a chance on it. I’m not overstating the results when I say it saved my dog’s life. She started feeling better within 24 hours and within 2 weeks her body was very noticeably filling out. I moisten 1 cup of kibble per feeding with a little warm water then mix a half teaspoon of Pan-tenex in and let it sit at least15 minutes. With these enzymes her digestive issues have resolved and she’s at a healthy weight now. I’m so happy I can purchase this product though Amazon on a subscription basis so she will never be without it.

So far so good stool is firm. This is the first time buying this I have had my dog on prescription meds and this seems to work way better than the prescription I get for over $120.00 for 8oz of Epyzyme.

Spent hundreds of dollars trying to figure out why my dog was wasting away, and finally got the diagnosis of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI). After reading countless reviews, I settled on this product and wow! What a difference. The stools are looking normal, she’s gaining weight, and even her coat is shiny again! A much happier dog. It’s a bummer that she’ll have to be on this forever as pancreatic tissue doesn’t regenerate, but I expect she’ll live a full and happy life thanks to this product.

Four years ago, our Australian Cattle Dog was diagnosed with EPI and since then it’s been a long struggle to find enzymes that truly worked for him. Some helped, but the prices kept climbing and made it hard to sustain long-term. I was honestly skeptical about Pan-tenex because of the great price, but we decided to try it—and I’m so glad we did. Not only did it arrive within 24 hours, but most importantly, it *works* for our dog. He’s doing well, and we’ve seen consistent results. My husband even comments weekly about how great this product is. Excellent value, fast shipping, and effective—highly recommend for dogs with EPI.

I used to buy the Bio Thomas labs enzymes for over 10 years, and I seen that they recently sold/discontinued their business/product. I had to scroll through multiple reviews for a product similar to try before my dog ran out of the previous product. I decided to give this brand a try. It is more grainy compared to the fine powder we were used to. Pan-tenex has the same ingredients I know helps with my dogs E.P.I. The numbers were a little lower but it does keep her stool firm. My dog does not like this product. I slowly changed her to this product to watch for any reactions/changes. I think it’s just that the powder is grainy and not fine. It could have a different taste and that’s why she’s not in a rush to eat her food like before. I will try this until we’re close to running out. I might try another product. I just wanted to add a tip for those who have pets with E.P.I. My dog’s health has improved with a change to a prescription low fat diet and she also gets b12 shots that helps her absorb the food better. It’s been 12 years learning what works for her dealing with E.P.I. This product does work but Idk if I’ll try something else to help my dogs appetite.

Our senior dog Carolina has some issues with her pancreas processing food. We had her on medicine from the vet's that cost over $100. We did some research and decided to try this powder instead. It works just as well. She feels better, more active and no more diarrhea. Really easy to use we just measure it out, put it on her dry dog food, add a tablespoon of wet food and mix. There is no Oder whatsoever.
