KIARA SKYDip Powder Nude Tones 1 oz, SOHO

I used a glitter clear topcoat to cover the obviously armature craftsmanship, as I am a beginner. The SOHO shade is lighter than my skin, yet still opaque. Love it. I’m still new at applying, so don’t judge me too harshly for the messy finish. I got a little nail drill that’s usb powered for under $20 that I’m learning to use. I bought the shade “something new” initially which is just too close to the color of my skin for my liking. It’s pretty, and would be great if I had a tan or something. I got tired of painting my nails every few days so I tried the dip method. It’s basically an easier way to do your own acrylics at home, but there are still many steps, lots of prep, and 20 minutes of soaking in acetone to remove. (Pour acetone in a large zip lock bag, add a paper towel, set inside of a bowl of very hot water, insert your hands into the bag, and the removal goes way easier.) nails grow out before the dip finish lifts, so you get that annoying gap between nail and cuticle like acrylics, but it’s better than chipping polish every few days. One more thing: this takes time, practice and patience. I was stupidly fooled by the dumb instagram reel ads showing “dip, coat and you’re done” but I still like the product!

This is a great product! I had acrylic nails on in November for a wedding and when I took them off, my nails were so thin and damaged. I wanted something thick to put on my nails to hide the damage and make them feel stronger. I know that technically this system is still acrylic, but the difference is you don't have to grind down your natural nails, it comes off much easier, and it is much thinner and more natural looking.I have done my own nails now 5 times. The first 4 times were with Color Dips. I purchased that at Ulta. This time I use Kiara Sky for the first time. I love the colors and how smooth it went on. Maybe it is just getting used to the product but I had much less lumps and imperfections that needed to be sanded down.I purchased the 4 step liquid and the brush saver. I love the shape and size of the bottles. The liquids all go on very smooth. I purchased 3 powders as well. In the picture I have Rose Bonbon on with Tahitian Princess on my ring fingers. The Rose Bonbon is a great nude color. It is a brownish purple color. The Tahitian Princess is a great glitter. I love the depth of the sparkles. The way it looks in the sunshine is just stunning.I used three coats of powder to acheve the look. I love that it is not too thick but makes my nails super strong.I would definatily purchase this again and plan on it.

This was my first time using a nail dip powder at home, so please excuse the imperfections in the pictures! The color is a very pretty neutral with a hint of shimmer (so subtle I couldn't capture it in the photos) - more nude than pink. Goes with everything! My nails are very weak and tear and peel easily if I don't have gels on them. This product was easy to apply (I'm sure my technique will improve the more I practice). The photos are taken after a week and a half, and I am not easy on my hands. The polish is still perfect - no chips and no lifting.My only recommendation is to wear a mask when using the powder. I did my own nails once, and used a different dip brand on my daughter. Both times I could taste the fine powder in my mouth and throat and nose afterward. Between the dipping and brushing it off afterward, it just floats up in the air and gets everywhere because it is so fine. I will be wearing a mask from now on when I apply this.

I love the quality of this brand but the color description is almost never accurate. Exposed is definitely a clear/natural color, not the pink that is shown in the picture. I applied about 3 to 4 coats with some sanding in between and you can still see my fake nail tips underneath. I personally don’t mind since I like the more neutral colors (less obvious when my nails grow). If you’re looking for a light pink color or what’s in the picture of this color than Exposed is definitely not what you want.

Great quality and perfect natural pink color. Kiara sky powders really are the best and so smooth.

I love Kiara Sky. The colors are rich and highly pigmented. This really is one of the best dip powders on the Market.Unfortunately the product came covered in dip powder. For some reason, every Kiara Sky Dip Powder I ordered is in the same on Amazon. It leaks kind quite a bit of powder too. Look at the second picture. If it were not for this problem, I would rate it 5 stars.
