I live and breath heating pads and this is one of my favorites. I have chronic neck problems from a past car accident and I work in Healthcare, so, my back and shoulders are a wreck. This hits all my pain spots perfectly. I use it to sleep with and it usually turns off by time I asleep (a feature i really like). It has four settings and the highest is my favorite but when my husband uses it he needs it on at least level two. I will get another when I wear this one out.

After having fallen in love with the Pure Enrichment XXL Heating Pad, I was excited to try this wearable version. It's made from the same plush micro-mink fabric so it feels great. The weight distribution is evenly spread so it's not too confining, even when using the belt attachment to secure the bottom half in place.The collar fastens into place via magnets. It is low enough to give me a little wiggle room to adjust the pad to cover a bit more of my lower back. You have the freedom to keep the collar open or shut (whatever's more comfortable). The release is quick and easy, the same as fastening it shut.The belt is a long velcro strap that you can attach through belt loops or use on its own. It's high quality, but still only velcro. It may be too long or too short depending on your body type. For me, it was fine. I was able to fasten it securely but without it being too loose or too tight. Since the belt is separate, if you wanted to, you could replace it with another of your own choosing. Another reviewer said he used an actual leather belt instead. You could also choose not to use any belt.As for heat, this item provides the same luxurious deep heating as the Pure Enrichment XXL pad, which I referred to as "melting in heaven" in my review of that product. That means on max, it gets very hot but not dangerously or uncomfortably so. It heats up fast and the controller is easy to operate: one button, 4 settings, and the heat levels light up when selected. So far, so good.The problem for me as a relatively normal height and weight male is it's not quite long or wide enough to wrap around my hips or cover the base of my lower back. On max heat, my mid-back gets luxuriously hot while my neck, upper-lower back, and shoulders only get nicely warm, but not hot. Your results may vary based on your height and weight. I just wish this device came in more sizes, or even a full torso wraparound vest. I'd gladly pay more for extra coverage.Prior to getting this item, I had to use two separate heating pads to achieve a similar effect. I would strap on a Sunbeam neck and shoulder heating pad, then drape a Sunbeam "King Size" (12x24) pad over the back of my chair (held in place by the weight of the power cord). This more or less got the job done, but obviously was vastly inferior solution to having this, because the heating pad draped over the chair was not in constant contact with my body while I worked. Plus, the two Sunbeams cost about the same as this, so the Pure Enrichment wearable version makes way more sense (as well as being a lot nicer). Also, the Pure Enrichment version evenly distributes the heat around my neck and shoulders, whereas the Sunbeam concentrated its heat more on my neck than shoulders.Two more quick points I'd like to make:1) There was no weird chemical smell out of the box or after using it.2) It comes with a full 5-year warranty if you register the device with the manufacturer.Overall, this is a great, high quality item that should provide instant relief and increased productivity. You can wear it at your desk or on the couch. It's tight enough to do the job but loose enough you won't feel restricted.

I got this for an hour, I used it for 20 minutes and I put It on high but it's really not hot at all but when I feel my back I see It actually does heat.I will use this for a week and tell you the results.I got this because I accidently snapped my neck so my muscles are loose and when I swallow food I feel a tingy thing in my throat and it hurts so I think so I hope this will help.I will edit If this is working.Edit: I been using this for 2 days so far, 20 minutes twice a day, It helped my swallow ting a bit but I think I need to use this for a week or two.Edit edit: I been using this since april 1 It's april 5 now and I can swallow normally, neck still hurts a bit when I look all the way down but I will continue to use this.Thank you for this product! I'm not sure If I needed this but It's always safe to be sure!

This is a great heating pad!

Don’t waste your money on this product. It’s defective and does not work as advertised. I tested it three different times, and it never stayed heated for the promised two hours. On the high setting, it shut off the heat after just 20 minutes, and the only way to restart it was to power it off completely and turn it back on again. Even worse, when I tried using it overnight on the lowest setting, it became extremely hot almost like it was on high. The performance is inconsistent and unreliable.

Pros (things I really liked) 1. detachable Velcro close belt 2. Simple controller with on/off button and heating levels easy to see in low light (others have several control buttons all the same color as the case – i.e. white on white)Cons (things that didn’t work for me)1. short length (29” – there are others up to 36”), small neck opening2. it was almost impossible to detach the controller (the pinch release is very small and too close to the pad). Look at the video at -29 seconds.3. the magnetic neck closure didn’t work on the one I purchased - one of the magnets was missingFor a senior with arthritis and poor vision, the cons outweighed the pros, so it went back.
