Delicious, but not Medium Heat
These are really good. I'm not familiar with traditional British pub pickled onions because I haven't visited the UK, but I like pickled veggies in general, and these are good. I would wholeheartedly recommend these, except for one detail: they're ridiculously expensive for the amount you get. The "medium heat" on the label is a little bit of a misnomer, in my opinion. I'm an absolute wimp when it comes to heat, and I found these mild. Tangy, yes, but not medium heat. I've chopped them finely and added them to pre-made raspberry vinaigrette that I found too sweet, and it absolutely improved the dressing. They're really good sliced thinly over salad, too. And of course they are wonderful by themselves. Also, the transaction was absolutely straightforward and painless, and the vendor did a truly fantastic job of padding them to protect them in transit. If you don't have the option of making your own, these are a tasty, easy fix for your pickled onion snack cravings.

Best Onions, by far - But brutally expensive.
I give these five stars, because there is, really, no substitute when celebrating the Christmas Holidays. Crisp, tart and delicious, these pickled onions are always a staple on our table for Christmas and Boxing Day. My only complaint is that you really have to be in a "Price is no object" mindset when you order these, because the price is brutal. If you have to pay shipping also, it becomes even more scary. As always, I will continue to look for more reasonable suppliers for them.

Tasty to snack on right out of the jar
I'm an American, and have never encountered onions like this before. However, I heard tell of onions, a long time ago, that were so sweet you could eat them raw right out of the ground. So I've been looking for something like that ever since. These aren't quite that good - but you can eat them right out of the jar as a snack, so we are half-way there. The taste is "mildly oniony" - almost like a authentic version of how funions smell. Not acrid at all, and there were no tears, and no comments on onion breath after the fact. The liquid appears to be some sort of brine, I haven't tasted it directly yet. I don't think I'd buy this regularly, but I would put these in the same category as pickles - a nice snack that you might eat straight, but would probably instead add as an ingredient to other dishes to enhance the range of flavors.. Maybe worth halving, battering, and frying, who knows. Would recommend trying at least once.

Crispy with super flavor. Not overly sweet or salty!
These are delicious, and I am very particular! Texture is crispy, onions are mouthful sized, and brine is delicious, neither too vinegary, sweet, nor crazy salty like so many foods these days. And the bottle and label is lovely. The cost comes to about $1 per onion, so it's an indulgence, but worth it. I am re-ordering.

Poor product. No way way to contact seller. NO REFUNDS!
I bought these anticipating a gastronomic journey to my homeland, and was bitterly disappointed. The onions were so mushy that attempting to pick one up with fingers resulted in the centre squishing ( well, more like falling) out of the onion. There was no particular taste other than vinegar. As there were only 20 onions in the jar, the "cost-per-disappointment" is quite high. To add insult to injury, there is absolutely NO way to contact the seller to complain, to seek a replacement, or obtain a refund. I am amazed that there is a merchant existing on Amazon that can literally sell rubbish without any fear of reprimand or censure.

Love!!
I love pickled onions, I use to be able to get them at a local store, but they stopped selling them about 2 years ago. I got a craving for pickled onions and thought I would try to find them on Amazon. Luckily for me I was able to find them and they tasted exactly how I remember them, absolutely amazing!
