This is a great little kit and has all that one might need to learn and practice suturing. It comes with all the implements one needs to suture, a selection of a range of sutures to use in practicing, and is paired with a series of very helpful online instructional videos. Medical Creations also seems very committed to its products and providing top-notch and friendly support, and it also offers a range of free ebooks to choose from to broaden one's medical knowledge. I highly recommend this kit.

I've never done a suture before, so this was my first introduction. I found the tool set and the included sutures to be of adequate quality. The practice pad is fine except for the fact that I find it can rip if you put too much on traction on the surface with the forceps. I'm not sure if this is due to my novice technique or the materials, but it took me by surprise (hence the 4 star for durability). From reading elsewhere on Amazon, it seems that suture practice pad durability/ripping issues seems to be not uncommon in general. The ebook link didn't work, however I emailed the company, and they sent me a PDF copy within hours. Apparently, there was a typo in the documentation (an extra "G" in 'suturingGebook'), and although they fixed the errors, some units still included it. Once I got the ebook, I thought it was a fine introduction, and it at least gave me a clear enough list of the types of knots and sutures to look at and search further on Google/Youtube. One thing I wish I knew when I got the kit, which I learned when reading the ebook, is that to practice properly as if for a real life situation, you really should be wearing exam gloves when you practice. Luckily, you can pick those up at any CVS/Rite Aid type drug store. Overall, great purchase, and I would recommend it to somebody who's never done sutures and would like to jump in for the first time. Just remember to also buy some examination gloves!

Good quality suture kit and materials as well as access to instructional videos on suturing. It's a good start on your suturing journey. I highly recommend.

Cool kit

Amazing quality suture kit! This is actually the second one I’ve tried (the first kit was from a different company), and the other one doesn’t even come CLOSE to beating this one. First off, I’m living for the small, travel-friendly size of both the kit and the skin pad that comes with it. The first kit I ordered from a different company was heavy and bulky and the skin pad was awful. It was sticky and I could never get great visibility since the wound edges would stick together, but this pad had pre-made wounds of different widths, shapes, and sizes, which is amazing for variety practice and mastering suture techniques on various wounds. Another thing I appreciated about this kit is the two suture threads types I received instead of just one like from the other kit. All-in-all this is just a great suture kit for beginners to learn on or just for practice. 10/10 would recommend 👍

This product was great quality across the board, the pad itself does a great job mimicking the layers of the human skin, subcutaneous fat, and muscle layers. I have had no issues with the equipment, they give you everything you need and the online text sent with the kit does a great job of explaining the entire process in an easy to understand, concise 40 page guide. The staff over at medical creations are awesome, they were super easy to get in contact with and actually reached out on their own a few times to check how I was liking the product. I am very much satisfied with this product and cannot wait to develop my suturing skills with it. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to impress during their surgery block or rotation, or for the practicing clinician who needs a little refresher.

I recently changed jobs and needed a refresher on some of my procedural skills and found this kit to be a great fit. The product arrived quickly, and the box included everything as described. I like the compact carrying case for the scalpel, scissors needle driver and forceps. This one unfortunately isn't large enough to also hold the suturing pad, but the durability of each was more important to me since I don't intend to take it out of my house. The suturing pad has been durable enough for repetitive practice sessions, and provides a good variety of incisions to practice different techniques. There is enough room to create additional incisions with the scalpel as well. The kit comes with a generous amount of suturing material, which is another limiting factor of other kits I've used in the past. The included e-book provides a good high level overview of the pros/cons of different suture material, basic equipment handling tips, and the essential suturing techniques. It is not comprehensive, but a great adjunct to YouTube videos and other resources out there. Overall, I would recommend this kit as an affordable and versatile option for students just getting started or more experienced clinicians looking for a convenient way to practice.

I have attempted to use many other suture kits in the past and each had major pros and major cons. This product isn't perfect, but comparatively it is the best on the market in my opinion. The online Ebook, suture tools, suture device and the kit is very well made. It is presented well and very fun to use while learning a crucial skill. I would recommend ordering some extra sutures and try out different styles/length if needles etc. Great customer relations with their Instagram and very responsive if you run into problems with your product. Please don't hesitate on this product if you're looking for a starting point on your suture skills.

I’ve used it already and really love it! The online videos with explanation from dr. Buck Parker helped a lot. Also the EBOOK has a lot of interesting details and good explanations. The different kind of ‘cuts’ in de practice skin are good to test suturing on different kinds of wounds. It's very good, i recommend :)
