Great stuff.. BUT follow the directions and spray LIGHT coats
This stuff is great. Bought some first at an Auto Zone and it came out pretty good. Not like the flat black suede stuff that you see on some peoples tail lights and headlights. I am starting to think those guys are using flat black spray paint EWW. Nothing like this stuff, it is even better that VHT Nightshades in my opinion. The surface of the head and tail lights kept a glossy, slippery texture but when you apply it if you spray for a second too long in one spot, it will run and you will have to wipe with a rag and thinner and start over. Don't be 'that guy' who does not take the prep time like I did the first time around. I didn't tape the components to the left and right of the lights I was tinting. I hovered in one spot too long and the paint started to run and sag. With a second light coat it covered the first mistake and looked pretty good, the mistake wasn't too noticeable unless you sat RIGHT in front of the car. Not perfect but good enough for me. This second time (I bought it again because I like this stuff) I will protect the whole front of my car with paper and spray in light sweeping motions like the directions say and it will look so good. I wish you luck on your car modification journey.I think it would also work good for fog lights and reverse lights too but after 2-3 coats, the lights look pretty BLACKED OUT without the light applied and the lights off/car off. But when you turn on the lights or step on the brakes, the light shines through pretty good (considering).

Day vs Night
Got a can for a few upgrades on my Elantra. First, I did the rear lights and turned out great! Then I decided to do the front headlights. After I finished the one on the driver side, I actually loved it during the day but wasn't going to do the other until I saw it at night. To my surprised, it looked more like a pimp car! Pink in color and even if I got some led 6000k lightbulbs, they'd probably still look cheesy so I had to do a lot of wet sanding to get them back to as close to new condition. If you just have to have black, do the film instead of spray but see how they look at night.

PISSED me off
Everything was working fine till the can decides to stop spraying when it was still half full & started spitting instead forcing me to take some over spray remover & clean it all off both tail lights The tip wasn't plugged up either. PISSED ME OFF

A great value, I’d buy it again
I used it to darken some LED license plate lights I bought (but were airplane landing lights behind me).It definitely does what it says it’ll do. It’s a quality paint that dries fairly quick (aa long as you’re doing quick side to side sprays). The color is as dark as how many layers you decide to lay on. As for durability - I ran that car through the car wash every three days for about 9 months and it didn’t fade or lose adhesion. It knocked it down the original brightness from daylight to mid afternoon. I was probably going to go a little darker but the car got totaled recently. I could’ve used a much smaller can for my project but it was a great value and I’d do it again.

I wouldn’t recommend
Please do not buy expecting it to really do a good job tinting your windows. One can is barely enough to cover a 1x2 window and even though I did multiple light coats it still didn’t work.

Way better than the old Nite Shades
I just tried this on some fender turn signal lights and the result is essentially perfect. It dried enough to reinstall them in 15 minutes, the finish is a nice gloss black that looks just like a proper smoked lens, the light comes through the paint in the stock brightness and color, and you can still see into the light housing through it if you look closely. It's good enough that I'm considering trying it on a set of headlights to test if it can possibly be good enough to not compromise with something performance is the primary concern. I obsoletely recommend it for anything cosmetic.
