Frida Kahlo: The Artist who Painted Herself

Our family has this one, Van Gogh, Picasso and Matisse. They are great for kids. My children love this series. A great way to build appreciation of art and know more about the artist behind the art.

It's really a children's book which needs to be clearly stated, as it is not. This is a shame as I would not have got it.

This is a beautifully illustrated and engaging book. We enjoyed it thouroughly. The questions are good and give it a little more depth. I appreciated the recap of Frida Kahlo's life that was age appropriate. I would have preferred they left out the photo of her smoking (in bed) and to top it off, commented on it. I have a 6 year old and she enjoyed the book.

This was not the book I was expected, that will teach me to be more observant
