CardioCallanetics DVD

This is the workout I've been waiting so long to do. Thank you so much! I bought Callan's book, Forever Fit which has the Cardio workout, but I've always found it easier to workout with DVDs. Once I had back surgery Step and Dance aerobics and even the Walking aerobics made my back pain flare up. When they say pain free, they mean pain free with Callanetics. Your muscles will feel fatigued, and a bit sore, but not painful. Plus, I really like the new energy of this workout with Sandra and company. I still love Callan's originals, but it's always good to get a fresh approach to a classic program. These women are great at what they do, I couldn't be happier.

I purchased this DVD because I read other reviews that were suggesting this video as an alternative to Tracy Anderson's CArdio.Well, clearly it is not.I was so disappointed. This video is an extremely slow sequence of very simple stretches that , at least in my case, are suitable for relaxation, but honestly is too slow to even minimally raise the pulse.Perhaps if you are beginning an exercise program this is a suitable video, but if you are already exercising, then do not consider this a suitable alternative to cardio, since this is not...

I found this workout time consuming, boring, and ineffective. If you are serious about burning fat or building muscle, this is not the way to go. If you have not been on an exercise program at all and need something very easy, you might want to try this. I did the Callanetics program back in the day, and now I remember why I quit doing it.

The DVD is nice and gives a good work out.The problem that I have is that someone unfamiliar with these moves is lost.I had to watch the DVD 4 times before I could do some of the moves.Detailed instructions should have been given for each specific move.

Well, of course, we all wish it was Callan herself. I do agree w/some reviews it goes very fast and you're not sure of the precise movement. However, it covers it somewhat in the beginning and I do like it, it's low impact and what I was looking for. Also has a "toning" half hour which I haven't been able to get to yet. And once you get the rhythm (which I haven't yet), it'll be fun.

I hate aerobics! So this fluid ballet movement is just up my alley. You feel your heart rate move up with out ever being out of breath. The second half of the toning hit more areas that one hour and super Callanetics don't . Butt hurt the next day but not to the point of pain. Since stretching is such a big part of Callanetics the pain is not unbearable. I have lost 20 pounds in the past six months my body has changed it is not an instant change, it takes dedication to working out with Callanetics at least 5 days a week to see your pants falling off you. So worth it!. Strong flexible body.

I love this dvd as it gives the option of doing the 30 minute cardio workout or both. I have been using tapes, dvds for many years and this one is the very best. The transitions are very smooth and it flows with the music and is easy to follow. It is a good work out and sometimes I only have 30 minutes. This is excellent and I am thinking of buying another one for a gift. I bought this on amazon.

I did Callanetics years ago and loved the id any f adding some Cardio to it. If you are familiar with the concept of the very small movements you will enjoy this! I workout every day and consider myself intermediate to advanced doing a wide variety of DVDs and really enjoyed this. The cardio is not too intense and the toning really was great.
