Kami no karakuri - Kamikara de Asobo!

Instructions are not in English, but the pictures are easy enough to follow. Each item lists the rubber band size(s) needed. Also, coins used for weight/ballast are the size of a US quarter. I used old metal game token "coins" for Cinderella's pumpkin and saved the 50 cents! The projects turned out great. These are amazing!

The book is high quality. The items in the book are not that easy to make though. They're for people or kids with lots of patience and attention to detail. It took my 11 year old and 9 year old quite a long time to complete an item in the book.

The entire book is written in Japanese. I managed to put together all of them with no issue. It gets easier after the first one. There is one pop up that you can color. Just be sure your kids dont color the tabs that need to be glued. The crayon prevents glue and tape from sticking together.

I read the review online about this book so I decided to buy it with my kids. They enjoyed the process and also love to play with the paper characters.

Even though I can't read Japanese (Google translator helped me along), this book opened up a whole new range of possibilities with paper. Congratulations to the author.

It was a really beautiful and wonderful book, we couldn't be happier about it.

I am going to get another copy before cutting mine into tiny pieces....it is so beautifully presented. I have previous experience of card automata and I think you will need some experience before tackling this one. Sharp scalpel and a good card bending technique needed. Check the videos too. Nakamura-san is amazing and very highly regarded. Get two copies and have a lot of fun.

interesante y diferente, solo un pequeño inconveniente esta en japonés, pero los dibujos son claros y se entiende. Espero disfrutar con mi nieta y nieto de este libro maravilloso.
