I’ve been buying these brushes forever. There are brushes out there that look like this one, but they aren’t. The cushions on the ends are important for comfort. The” bristles” are firm, but with a lot of give, if that makes sense. These last a long time. I have several that I’ve had for at least 5 years. I like to buy a new one every few years.

I have less static but there is still some when I put my hair in a pony tail. Makes it hard to gather together.

These are my go-to brush. I currently have short thick,wavy hair and other brushes I’ve tried just don’t do the trick of getting through my waves. But before I cut my hair short, it was below my shoulders and this brush could handle even that head of hair!
