Ram Board Edge Tape 14-Day for Anchoring Ram Board to Floor 2.5" x 180'

Perfect for a home project. Did the job, and lasted 8 weeks!

This stuff just feels like regular painters tape with slightly stronger paper but painters tape doesn't seem to work on ram board at all. starts to adhere a bit too much around 2 weeks in. can take off paint pretty easily if you go up a wall. This stuff also works fine between sheets of ram board. The brown stuff only works between two sheets of ram board, if you use it on finished floors it will adhere too strongly and won't peel off in one piece.

I taped 50 feet of RAM Board to a 40 year old hardwood floor and 50 feet to a 2 year old hardwood floor. I used an 8 inch length of tape every 5 feet so there were lots of pieces stuck to the floor. The tape stayed in place for 14 weeks. I removed each piece of tape by pulling one end as horizontally as possible and was absolutely happy that the tape caused zero damage to the 40 year old as well as the 2 year old varnish. Two years ago a different remodeler used non-RAM tape to secure RAM Board for a different project and, after being in place for 10 weeks, the non-RAM tape tore the varnish off my 40 year old floor, permanently damaging it. That's why I bought the real RAM Tape for my most recent project and it worked perfectly. 25% of the tape pieces I removed left a small bit of adhesive on the floor but that adhesive was easy to remove by rubbing it with my finger into a sticky ball - like rubber cement. No solvents nor tools needed.

Definitely a great tape but you need to follow directions and not leave it on for more than 14 days or it’s so hard to get off. He is great as I used to Tape down the covers on the floor during construction. Totally held up but construction lasted longer than two weeks so I struggled to rip it up. But definitely did its job By keeping my floors protected by staying adhered to the covers and the floor

Excellent product - works.

Despite all the warnings on the packaging, I used the seam tape to tape it to the floor. That was a mistake. Pulling that up was disastrous. Did I know there is a specific tape that’s meant to go on the floor. Here it is!

Works as advertised. Holds down board securely and does not mark floor or leave residue.
