Can you replace the spray when you run out

Best product is NOT wasp spray. Gadget Girl comment should be removed completely. You don't want to find out wasp spray is ineffective when your life is on the line. Pepper spray causes almost instant swelling and irritation of the sinuses, throat, and eyes which means they'll likely be coughing uncontrollably, they won't be able to see, they'll have difficulty breathing, and all that gives you time to run. Go with a reputable pepper spray.

if i put this in my checked luggage will it explode from the pressure?

I wouldn't think it would explode anymore than a can of hair spray. The pepper spray is not an aerosol. Having said that, I have noticed a different issue with my Sabre Red Pepper Spray.I purchased my product about 9 months ago and the safety mechanism will turn and unlock itself resulting in small leaks. This is very dangerous and needs to be recalled and corrected. I bought several for my sister's and theirs have done the same. Although I was a big fan, I warn you not to purchase this product until t;e safety mechanism has been tweaked to be more secure.

Could this be used as a dog repellent?

To those that feel this question is a hint towards dog abuse..... consider this..... I just bought this product today around 3pm and it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. At around 1:30pm I was jogging on a rural gravel road. A larger dog left its property and charged me several times. It bit my hand multiple times but it is winter and I had gloves. It ripped my jacket while taking bites at me. Eventually the dog bit my inner thigh from behind and ripped a large hole in my leg. This was a quick nip.... it did not latch on and clamp its jaws. Just quick bites and then pacing and returning to nip again. I bought this product while in the emergency room receiving 7 stitches from the attack. Now consider this..... My injury was from a quick nip imagine if the dog was even more aggressive. I am a tall healthy in shape 33 yr old man. I also run and cycle with my daughters, ages 3 and 11. If that dog attacked a child especially a 3 yr old it wouldn't have been 7 stitches to the inner thigh.... it would have been her face. I bought this product with direct intent of using it as a dog repellent if a similar situation ever happens again. If someone's dog comes onto a road and attacks several times and draws blood from me, my children, or even a stranger I'm going to spray it in the face. If you thing that's animal abuse defending myself from an attack than please please please contact animal control, the police, or whoever and see who's side they take. You or one of your children could be attacked and bit and I promise you'll wish you had pepper spray.

Is there a safety mechanism to protect my toddlers from accidental exposure?

Ditto all the parents in here. "Can my toddler discharge this?" was literally my first thought. The point of the pepper spray is to have it accessible. That's going to end up balanced against the need to keep it away from curious hands. Knowing there's a backup mechanism to keep it safe and further lower the probability of accidental discharge is pretty key to the target demo of a brightly colored pepper spray canister. -- I'm buying one, but will return if I don't think the protection is sufficient.
