I bought these for the 7 Dwarfs to use in Pantomime
Seriously - one of the things I have to do as part of my job running pantomimes is make sure the cast have as easy a time as possible, and in theatre dressing rooms - we have the worktop, with mirrors and lights so the cast can do their makeup and have plenty of light. The snag is that it also means storage is up high, and if you are six foot tall, the storage is high, but if you are less than six foot, it's difficult - so I wanted some folding steps to help the guys access the storage safely. I'm no lightweight, so when these arrived I tried to 'misuse' them - I'm currently just over 16 stones - and my doc says my body mass is on the higher side of ideal. I stomped up and down these steps and they coped really well with pretty rough treatment, and I'm happy with how they perform. These are the two step versions which enable me to get my head up pretty high, and in real terms they add around 500mm - 1' 6" or so extra height while still feeling pretty stable. They feel solid, not wobbly, and I didn't feel the need to have to hold onto them. You are always told to use one hand to hold onto steps - but in the real world when you use steps, it's because you need to hold things, or transfer things from one hand to the other, and you feel pretty safe doing it on these. There are three step versions also available - and I have some of these too. These things seem to do exactly what I need - just enable shorter people to use shelving, cupboards and racking designed for very tall people!

A very Sturdy and Safe set of Steps
For the price I paid for them, £24.00: these are a very sturdy and safe set of folding steps, I’ve read in a couple of reviews some are saying they are “Very Heavy”, they are not very heavy, they are only 6.5Kg, it tells you this in the listing, so to complain about the weight of them AFTER you buy them is, in my opinion, quite silly, as far as I’m concerned I’d rather they were Strong enough to have faith in them when you climb them.If you’re in the market for a 3 step ladder and you’re thinking, will I buy them or not? My advice is, Buy Them.I think these steps are well worth the cost and I thoroughly recommend them.

Very sturdy and functional steps.
I’m really pleased with these steps and I feel safe using them. I keep them in my larder for reaching high steps…..I’m elderly so I need to feel safe standing to reach high stuff. These steps are ideal and I can recommend them highly.

Stepping up
This was ordered as a gamble and it paid off, we wanted steps with a bigger foot plate, it’s for an older person and needed to be sturdy, and it is. It might be a good idea to have the treadplate size I’m your specs too. The missing star I give this was because this was scuffed but under the plastic it was wrapped in, and yes I appreciate it could of been damaged in transit but where the scuff mark was there was no damage to plastic, apart from that I would happily recommend stepsIve updated my review as this was for the 3-step one, not the 4-step with rails, i just wanted to make clear people look at the 4-step one with rails

Great sturdy stool
Found this to be a very sturdy and well made step stool. Had a couple of scrapes to the paint on the frame when it arrived but I'm sure it will be a lot worse by the time I'm finnished. I've read a few reviews to say that people find it hard to open them up because they are quite stiff, I find the easiest way is to lay them steps facing down on the floor and put your feet on the front feet and pull the back legs up. I also like the way the bar at the top bends forward so it doesn't hit your shins when you are standing on the top step. Very happy with this purchase.

They weigh 6.3kg and they're great...
In my experience, there are two things you want to have a bit of weight, one is binoculars and the other is anything you're expecting to support the weight of a 15 stone human. The 3 step ladder weighs 6.3kg, as a result of the solid, load bearing tubular steel, design. It feels sturdy and stable in use, giving you the confidence to focus on the job in hand, rather than whether or not you're about to break your neck. The only concern I would have is the way that it's protected during delivery. The ladder is shrink wrapped in clear, relatively thick plastic, and bubble wrapped lengthwise, which leaves the sides a little less protected than they could be.

Good product let down by poor packaging
A very rugged set of steps. However the packaging was a flimsy shrinkwrap which after some hours sliding about in the back of a van resulted in a lot of scrapes to the paintwork of the steps. I had no option but to return the product as damaged. Shame.
