They were right for the job

Do what they say although I would prefer a 2 minute timer instead of 3 as that would of been the most used for teeth brushing.

It's very pretty, but the hole and grains are so tiny that they routinely become clogged and the timer stops. It was also always 17 minutes, but I'm not too picky about that. I am picky about the fact that now it doesn't work at all. Too much fancy, not enough function.

I got this as a present for someone and was really disappointed as soon as the recipient took it out of the box. This is not what it looked like on the pictures: where is the big crystal and the base is different as well. To add to the issues with this item: it is NOT 1HR...maybe 45 min tops, more like a random number of sand. Finally, as the sand was going down, I've noticed some of it got stuck to the glass, so the glass is not properly sealed. I would hate to see it in the summer when the humidity is super high. Do not waste your money and time.

One broke right away and others the sand got stuck constantly.

Shame that it does not do the job it has to do. After a few uses I noticed that sand is not falling through consistently. Now I have no idea if it’s accurate at least approximately. And the glass gets very hot

So I like having this hour on my desk. It’s a pretty cool desktop accessory. Pretty nice for the price as well. Haven’t tested durability of this item but my kids have gotten a hold of it. It still works. There is one thing that doesn’t happen all the time. For some reason it stops somewhere in the hour. Just gotta knock the sand loose and it’s back on track. If you’re looking for novelty this is it. You want something more appealing to the eye and sturdy as a rock, keep searching and spend more. This is still a good item for what it’s worth.
