I bought a pair of these because they're cheaper than competing gear, that while easier to setup, costs twice as much. I'm beaming my Starlink connection to my neighbor's house about 250 feet away and these radios work well for it, using the 802.11 protocol. For some reason I had issues with the NV2 protocol, but 802.11 works fine. Signal is great on both ends, and hardly any ping drops. I do wish this was easier to setup, though it still wasn't very complicated using the Quickset tool that RouterOS has. After the setup, I am able manage these radios using my phone, and even update the firmware.

You really need to know what you are doing to make these things work. I've been using Mikrotik for about a decade and still have some 10 year old routers running. These are based on Linux and can be programmed to do whatever you want. Need 10 vitural wifi access points with 10 DHCP servers on 10 different subnets through a proxy? Yeah, it can. Public and private HotSpots, no probem. Custom firewall rules per vlan and bandwidth management, yep. Sometimes things don't work as expected though and leave you scratching your head. But it's nice to have unlimited options unlike the SOHO stuff.

This is the prefect router if your Internet provider is a WIFI ISP and requires logins. I tried several other routers that were not very reliable. This router connects to my ISP and stays connected.
