Sonya 5L Electric Dual-Sided Shabu Shabu & Mongolian Hot Pot – Stainless Steel, Large Capacity for Family Meals & Hot Pot Parties

This pot arrived yesterday and we tried it right away, and it blew us away. First off, it's all very well constructed. The pot was solid and the plate separating the two sides is connected well. The lid and lid handle feel good and sturdy. Second off, it's well designed. The pot has a small well in the bottom so it can fit on the hot plate without moving around or wobbling. The temperature control is very quick, I left it on low with the lid on until it started simmering, almost boiling, and took the lid off and kept it on low to maintain a simmer while we ate. Finally, this is just so versatile and practical. It's a huge pot that can be used for a larger group of people, but still works for a smaller group in case it's just my husband and I. I'm also able to use the hot plate separately, since we usually follow meals with tea and it is super convenient for keeping the kettle hot so we can steep the tea multiple times without trips back into the kitchen. Overall I would highly recommend this hot pot setup!!

I went back and forth on finding the best hotpot online and had purchased a few in the past that didn’t meet my expectations. However, this hotpot was a game changer. The pot itself is super sturdy and easy to clean and comes separate from the electric heating base. We used the little sheep brand hotpot soup base and added an equal 6 cups of water to each side and had no issues with leaking. The electric heating base works amazingly and heats up well enough that the soup boils well. It also automatically turns down the heat after a while but if you prefer to have a constant boil you can just adjust turn the heat up as needed. Such a great addition to your home if you love spending money eating hotpot at restaurants. You get to enjoy restaurant quality meals in the comfort of your own home. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone in search of a good quality hotpot.

Works very well. Heating steadily and quickly. Easy to clean up. 100x better than my previous purchase from Dezin which stopped heating after a few uses.

I read the owners manual so I know what to do & proper care. However, don’t out sticky rice cake or taro into the pot too early, as it’ll stick to the bottom. I swapped my original hotpot out for this bc this is stainless steel, no toxic nonstick coating. But the sticking to the bottom was a bit annoying. I had to soak it in soap water then scrub it. There’s also a bulky portion built into the pot, and when something is stuck on that, hard to scrub it off…

Works great for family hot pot. Size is big enough for a family of 5. The split chambers makes it great for someone who likes spicy broth and others who doesn’t.

Best thing I've bought this year its easy and makes family meals get together efficient/ stress free and clean up is simple too.

Wow, what a solid electric hot pot. Once of the greatest flaws of any hot pot machine is the time it takes to heat up the water/soup/broth. This is definitely NOT the case for this hot pot. It is excellent and heats up the hot pot soup quickly and consistently. It is very easy to wash and I am overall very happy with this purchase. The pot itself is perfect, and there are no leaks. Would purchase again!

We have used the Hot Pot twice now and have not had any issues whatsoever. I love the controls on the heating plate better on this model than our other hot pot where is it located on the heating element cord. Also love that the cord is not a separate item as well. Absolutely no issues with this product. Used it for Christmas dinner right out of the box. Heated everything well. Each side was properly isolated (mild and spicy). Definitely recommend this product.

Love hot pot, and love how easy this is to both use and clean. It's quite huge, and works really well. The heat is very consistent too, so much easier to adjust than a flame. Have had 4 hot pots at home so far...looking forward to more!

I really eat a lot of Hot Pot, I cook it in a regular pot for myself, but when I have guest over I use this. Its plenty big enough for 4-6 people, the divide is nice, can do 2 broths, spicy and no spice for example. The only downfall is and thats why I gave it a 4 star is when turned up it is a bit noisy, has a little rumble from the heat source as it reaches close to boil, but its ok. The gas ones are better, but you have to fuss with buying the bottled gas, so its a trade off, one more thing, be very careful no one trips over the cord, could be very dangerous especially around young children. Over all I like it.

Perfect hot pot!! Hosted our first hot pot party on New Years and it was an absolute hit!! Temperature gauge is accurate and kept broth boiling… great size (we had a hot pot party for 12) and love the split pot so u can have spicy on one side and not so spicy on the other! Definitely worth the purchase!
