An all-in-one powerhouse that looks and feels incredible.
This device hits every single note with absolute perfection. The screen itself is a beautiful, bright OLED display that has an incredible resolution for the 4 inch screen. Colors absolutely pop on this device and every game looks incredible, both with and without shadows. The audio, while mono, is genuinely the best audio from any device that Retroid has produced. It sounds great and is perfectly fine for playing games. The buttons feel great. If you've ever used a Retroid device, you'll know how their face buttons and Dpads feel. They feel tactile without feeling too stiff. They're pretty much perfect for me. The size of the device is perfect in my hands and feels great. The performance is off the charts. If anything, the fact that there's no analog sticks limits the power this device has. It can play GameCube games with the chip they've included, although most games require an analog stick. The only downside to this device is you cannot output to a TV or monitor. I don't mind that personally, but to some people, it may matter. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to play anything from PS1 or below on one of the best screens out there. It's nearly perfect and looks even better in person.

Fantastic handheld for Game Boy & PICO-8
The RPC is a vertical handheld with a beautiful 3.92" OLED screen. The build of the RPC feels moderately premium, definitely a step up from sub-$100 Linux handhelds. The handheld is lightweight, which I appreciate as it is going to be my travel and waiting room handheld. I have small hands and find the RPC to be perfectly comfortable to hold both sitting up and lying down in bed. Buttons feel great to use, and I have no problem reaching the triggers and shoulder buttons. I use the RPC for emulating GB/GBC/GBA and PICO-8, and this device is perfect for those systems. GBA definitely has more letterboxing than GB/GBC and PICO-8 due to its aspect ratio, but GBA games are still perfectly legible and playable even with integer scaling turned on. I run those systems with shaders (LCD3X GB/GBC/GBA, CRT-Aperture PICO-8) no problem, and never hear the fan kick in. When I tested emulating PS1, I noticed that when I stacked shaders, the system really started to struggle, though I could run PS1 games with only the lottes2 CRT shader no problem. And I don't know if I really need to mention this, but this console does NOT come with any games, emulators, or BIOS preinstalled; it is up to the user or whoever is setting up the device to source those things. Additionally, I find that the 128gb of internal space on the 6+128 variants is more than enough for me, with the systems that I play having such small ROM sizes. A microSD card can be used to expand storage as necessary, though. Games can be run with integer scaling, which increases letterboxing, but that isn't a problem with how big the RPC's screen is. I definitely recommend getting a colorway that has black bezels, because letterboxing truly disappears into the bezels of black bezel colorways due to the OLED screen and it looks incredibly clean. To make this feel more like a console and less like a weird Android phone, I recommend using a frontend. There is one that comes preinstalled, but there are better ones out there. Something that is nice about Android handhelds is that they are super configurable, and changing frontends on Android is MUCH easier than changing distros on Linux based handhelds.

Excellent screen and control, perfect for SNES!
Fantastic little console. Excellent display, excellent controls (the d-pad feels great). The battery life is also excellent (the device only needed to be charged once every 8-10 days when played no more than an hour a day). The display's unique aspect ratio makes it perfect for SNES games. The GBA and DS games, when rendered in full screen, do get stretched a bit but in a tolerable way. This is our new favorite console for sure!

Great addition to collection
I'm a collector of classic console handheld and this one really caught my attention. The screen is gorgeous, the OS is really good, the buttons are clicky but good, and the battery life is great. It's a little on the medium side, so if you have big hands, might wanna get a grip case.

Worth every penny
Excellent product. Works almost flawlessly. No real complaints at all. I had a small issue with the Dpad having a slight squeak and they sent me a replacement. The battery life is exceptional as well. It is worth mentioning that some Android applications have issues with the screens aspect ratio, but most are fine.

Great device, bit of a pain to set up
I've been really happy with the device so far. Setup is probably the most painful part (compared to a Linux based emulator handheld), but there are a number of guides online to help get this set up. Once you have it set up to your liking the devices performs well and is a smooth experience. The screen is fantastic.

Great device, Berry has 128 gb and 4 buttons (not 6)
My Retroid Pocket Classic got here early, and so far it has been great. A note to clarify the listing: the Berry one comes with 128 gb of storage, but it only has the 4 buttons on the right side (not 6 like the retro colorway shown in some videos). It ships in a nice box but with no screen protector, so if you want this make sure you buy it separately. Overall I have been quite impressed - it runs GBA games amazingly, and the colors on the screen are spectacular. I will say the setup does require some troubleshooting/digging through settings, but it is doable - just know that it will take multiple hours if this is the first time you’ve bought something like this. Overall I really like this device and am excited to play some games on it!
