Review: Great book for another story in the FFVII world - This is a fun read if you are a Final Fantasy fan wanting to get some more story from the VII world. It helps to have at least placed the original game so you understand a lot of the context, otherwise you could get lost.

Masterpiece
I loved this book. To learn more about the characters in the game and movie it makes both so much more understanding. This book has some flaws, the written is a bit off, and something’s don’t make a whole lot of sense. But when you get into reading it more it turns out to be amazing. So if anyone orders this book, understand that flaws are okay, I don’t think there’s a book out there that doesn’t have a flaw either way. So for final fantasy 7 fans, I would suggest you give this book a chance!

Perfect
Came in perfect condition. Nice to get a brand-new book. As for the book itself, well, you can't go wrong if you have any interest in more FF7/Advent Children lore. Get it! Adds so much depth to everything.

A good read
I remember reading this in 2021 while on campus on discord with a friend. Maybe I have nostalgia goggles but I reread this book recently and I still love it

Must Read Any Fan of Final Fantasy VII and/or Advent Children.
Final Fantasy VII: On the Way to a Smile is a book of loosely connected episodic short stories that serve as epilogues to Final Fantasy VII, and prologues to Advent Children. There are seven in total each centered around a different character. They are as follows: Episode Denzel: Tells how Denzel became and orphan who met and and was adopted by Tifa & Cloud. Episode Tifa: Tells how Tifa & Cloud started their respective businesses as well as how their relationship became strained. Episode Berret: Details Berret's journey to find atonement for all the lives lost as a result of his actions leading Avalanche, as well as his helping Cid find a replacement for Mako Energy. Episode Nanaki: (aka Red XIII): Details Nanaki's life after returning and leaving home to observe and serve as a witness to the world's events as well as dealing with the fears in his own heart. Episode Yuffie: Details how Yuffie returned to her village, became its healer, her search for a cure for the disease called Geostigma, as well as find ways to prevent & teat it. Episode Shinra: Focuses on Rufus Shinra & The Turks, as they search for a way to rebuild the world after the disaster caused by Sephiroth. Episode Lifestream: This one is split into two parts, Black & White, each with three parts. Each part serves as a book end for each story. Black follows the spirit of Sephiroth in the Lifestream as he attempts to corrupt it as well as creating agents to act in the world directly. White focuses on the spirit of Aerith as she attempts to counter the actions of Sephiroth's spirit by healing the spirits he's corrupted, and finding a means to heal people infected by geostigma before they die. Each episode helps flesh out the characters and events after FF7 and leading up to Advent Children. It also helps explain what geostigma is and how it is spread. Further more, it helps illuminate just who the Revenants of Sephiroth are, how they came to be, and what their (and by extension Sephiroth's goals) were. If you're a fan of FF7 I HIGHLY recommend checking it out. The stories themselves are great, and make the narrative of Advent Children a LOT more coherent and enjoyable. I just wish there were more episodes to follow the rest of the cast like Reeve (Cait Sith), Cid, & Vincent. 4 out of 5
