With the larger format heavier phones available now, I found the regular strength magnets just didn't hold properly. I replaced my existing vehicle mounts with these higher powered magnets and they definitely make a difference. I have a Samsung Ultra 24 and a clear vinyl cover and it stick through that just fine. They're affordable and do the job you want.

Oh my LORD!!!! This thing is FANTASTIC !!! I’ve had one of these in my Chevy Colorado for years (attached to the narrow smooth space around the screen on the dash) and have never had any problems with it, but I’ve just purchased an iPhone 17 ProMax and it’s MUCH heavier than my 8 plus or my iPhone 14. I purchased a presidio protective case for this 17 ProMax and needed more strength to hold it in place. I’m not impressed with the “MagSafe” magnet, so I looked at several options/reviews for something more substantial. I purchased 2 holders with great reviews and returned both. Then I saw the NEW SCOSCHE MXDM PHONE HOLDER…. This new magnet is amazing!!!! My new iPhone 17 ProMax isn’t going anywhere once I attach it!!!! These magnets are soooo much stronger than my previous one that has been in place for 4plus years. And it doesn’t block my air conditioner vents!!!! (I live in Florida with extreme heat and blistering sun). I certainly didn’t want a melting rubber suction cup on my windshield or dash!
