In summary - great sounding at a great price. And they come with a storage case and a headphone / mic adapter so you can use them with a computer. They block external noise pretty effectively so you can stand on the train, close your eyes and be oblivious to other passengers and announcements. The wire is made of an odd plastic that also does a good job of minimizing vibrations from brushing the cable against something. The button works with my Sony Xperia phone albeit on the opposite switch setting to that it should be. I've only had these things a few days so can't comment on longevity but they seem as well made as other buds I've owned. Oh, and the purple colour is rather nice. If you like purple. In more detail, the sound: I found the soundstage particularly wide with good separation. On my test track, the LSO recording of Beethoven's Sixth under Bernard Haitink, it was possible to distinguish most players. Oddly, on one listening session the first violin appeared on the right side of the stage; similarly, the opening guitar on the studio version of "Yesterday" was panned left. The next day they were back where they should be. While 99% of people wouldn't notice this and it's likely not going to be an issue for you, it's an odd inconsistency. I found a plug-in to Poweramp that enables channel switching should it happen again. The 'phones do, however, show remarkable consistency across music sources. I thought that all of the extra detail in the audiophile 192kHz / 96 bit recording of Trondheim Solistene's Britten Symphony might prove too much for them, but they coped admirably. In fact I found I couldn't tell the difference between this and my compressed mp3 version and perhaps it shows that these headphones are probably overkill if you're planning to listen to mp3s. I suspect, however, that small and imperceptible differences might proving tiring over time and it's worth bearing this in mind. I forgot to mention that before listening, I gave the E10s a good burning in. B*Witched's "To You I Belong" (The 12" Amen mix if you can get it) does a good job if left playing overnight, at medium volume. It made a huge difference to the dynamic range. If you're in a hurry a drop of warm WD-40 on each bud may be enough. And finally, to get the most out of these it's best to address the most important part of any sound reproduction system - your ears! A Hopi candle to each one really opens up the bass and dampens any over-brightness in the treble range. Finally, the microphone seems to work but I did find that "Ask Google" struggled to understand my question regarding Saw Tips so perhaps the timing might be slightly out. Keep questions simple and enunciation clear!

I had to replace my older Sennheiser ear buds when they finally quit after 5 years. I read good things from other reviews, but realized they could be subjective. My personal opinion is that the Sennheiser's gave slightly more bass and hid lower quality recordings better. The SoundMagic E10's really shine at higher volume with good quality recordings, but will not be kind to bad quality recordings. The soundstage these earbuds give is way deeper than you would expect from an in ear headphone. The cord quality is better on the SoundMagic than regular rubber cords found on many competitors, they are less prone to tangling. Overall build quality is superb and they really feel like they're worth more than the price. Very happy with my purchase.

So I have never written a review on a product before but after searching for a good pair of earbuds for so long and finally finding them I figured I could help some people out. I walk most places and it rains a lot where I live, I needed something that had the sound quality of the headphones I use for producing but had the ability to be worn and carried every day, these earbuds are what I've been searching for. Pros: These earbuds sound amazing, I am insanely picky about the sound of the speakers I use and these are equal or better than anything I've owned, including car speakers and dj/producing headphones that costed me 500+. They come with a case and a bunch of different sized rubber pieces so you'll be able to find a pair that fits your ears. The cable is made of a plastic that is more durable and "tangle-free" than typical headphones, if they are tangled usually grabbing one end and flicking my wrist will untangle them. The body, Jack and phone button are made of metal and seem like they could take a lot of abuse, these are by far the sturdiest headphones I've ever owned. I have had so many amazing mornings walking to work listening to music I know well and hearing things I've never heard before just because these things sound so good. The mic for phone calls is very high quality too, I prefer using it to my phone. Cons: My cons are pretty minuscule but worth mention. The headphone jack is pretty sturdy like I said but when I use these with my phone directly (I usually use a Bluetooth adapter so I can keep my phone in my bag) my phone case makes it hard to plug them in, just a warning these may not work well with your phone case. My only other con seems picky but since the body of the buds are metal they get really cold I have put these in my ears to be shocked by how cold they were, I live in a city where it rarely gets below freezing so if you live somewhere super cold it could be a problem, I just keep them in my pocket or warm them up in my hands if they are too cold. I highly reccomend these headphones and for under fifty bucks you can't go wrong, do yourself a favor and get rid of those ten dollar headphones and listen to music the way it should be heard.
