Best rooftop tent ever! The design is brilliant, with lots of headroom and great ventilation. Easy to set up and very comfortable. Worth every penny. We've taken it on several trips already, and it holds up well in all weather conditions.

This particular Sanhima rooftop tent is wonderful. It’s well built, the insulation is quite nice in a cold night, it’s quickness to open and set up is less than 5 minutes and it’s breakdown is about 1 minute. We recently took this on a trip for the weekend and were so pleased with the setup. As you see in the video it shows how we set it up, and all the cool features. It has a light bar that plugs in to a battery charger we purchased and keeps to the side. The window vents on the front, sides and in the roof of the tent are easily accessible and have a good netting to avoid bugs coming in. When they close, it creates a nice seal to keep warmth in, although we left the entrance on the back open at night for a great breeze during the night. You can put the ladder on any side with a vented window. The hard shell top has a few pocket area on it. They are very nice to put small things like phones batteries tissues glasses etc. The foam mattress that comes with the tent is very nice. We did end up purchasing a 3 in foam topper though for some extra comfort. The ladder system is nice as well as it telescopes down when your closing it all up. The shoe bag on the side is a nice addition to it and has a specific slot to hang on to. Two adults fit in this, so if you have a small child you could probably get them in there with you both. Three or four small kids could easily stay in this like a treehouse! It’s pretty cool. It’s value is quite well for what your getting. We really enjoyed it. It comes with its own mounting brackets to put on your vehicle, but we purchased a mounting system that we ourselves adjusted suitable for our needs, as you see it’s up higher in the truck instead of on the bed of the truck. This allowed us to place our storage containers underneath on two levels of storage. Some things we wish they had: on the hard shell portion interior, it would be nice if there was a capability to insert a large iPad or device as we had to rig something up to watch movies at night. Also some hooks for the interior would be nice to include, although we just purchased some ourselves. It also would be nice if there were some grips on3 sides of the tent for easier movement of it while installing on the roof. Also the back part of the tent (back of truck area) where the one window/door zipper area has a flap that covers the zipper window. That would be nice if the flap had some sort of pole on it to create an awning to attach to the flap so you could keep that up if desired. We bought some poles and kind of made one ourselves, but it wasn’t very secure. Overall this product is so very well made and was an absolute dream to have on our camp/hike trip. To remove it, it’s a bit heavy, so 2-3 people should be able to place it and remove it. Storage is simple, we harnessed it to the side wall of our garage and it goes flat up against without taking up much space. The customer service was fantastic and helped with all the questions and concerns we had. I would certainly recommend you getting this as it’s Simplified our trip and ease of travel! We also have the Sanhima 180 degree awning. It’s really awesome! I didn’t think it was going to cover as much as it did, but this was big enough for us for sure! Very easy to set up, I was able to hang some lights on it, I had to make a way to do that as it doesn’t come with any hooks at all. But overall, well done and worth the purchase, it was an easy install onto the truck and easy pull out from the bag. It has extension poles to place into the ground and loops to secure them with tent pins that come with the system. Nice and tidy, well designed and very easy to put away. Great addition to our tent. It really looked awesome and several people stopped over just walking by to ask us all about the products. It was fascinating to see how many people would love something like this. I know there are more products we would love to get for this set up and we will keep you all in the loop of further advancement of our adventures! Thank you Vicoffroad!

This San Hima roof top tent is AMAZING!!! It’s sturdy yet comfortable on the inside and because of the clam shell style it opens and closes in seconds!! There is enough space inside for me (5’8”) to sit up straight and stretch my arms all the way up without touching the top (at its highest peak). The rails that run on top of the tent are also a great plus! This gives you space to add recovery bars or other supplies right on top of the tent! This tent was the ONLY clam shell style I could find that also includes the sky view window, which is an absolute necessity for those who love night sky viewing! My young next generation astronomer is so excited to lay comfortably in the tent and be able to Star view from the comfort of the tent! The tent even includes a strip light already installed inside for night time lighting needs, just need a small power bank to run it. I couldn’t have asked for a better tent! As a mom taking kids on adventures, I can operate this tent all by myself - quickly and easily!! The large windows with bug netting are also a huge plus for us! Looking forward to summer time state park roof top picnics with views and no worries of bugs! The company has also been great answering any of my questions and helping me ensure I’m geared up correctly for overlanding adventures!! A ++ in my book!

Great value. Overall, you can't get close to this design, this quality, and this space efficiency. Not perfect, definitely has some quality control issues with it and its accessories. Upon careful installation, a couple of weeks on the road, and often and thorough tightening of the included mounting hardware, a single panic stop immediately after hard tightening to save a kitten’s life who wandered onto a busy highway was enough to make the RTT break violently lose from the heavy rear rack on my truck, skid across my roof, across my hood and fender, land in front of me on the grass, slow faster than I could brake on grass and therefore got ran over by my truck. It faired surprisingly well after having fallen off the truck and being ran over, but unfortunately I’ll never trust it on top of my truck again after its ‘journey’ and it’s been given to an employee of mine who needed a cheap and easy (free) treehouse for his 4 kids. The good, the bad, and the ugly: The good: -Great value -Great layout and design -Great Price The bad: -Had a relatively minor leak on our first outing that could be fixed with a piece of seam tape, but not fun to find out about while camping. -Had an instance where I had to slam on the brakes and the tent broke free from my rear rack, slide across my roof, my hood, my fender, and onto the ground. DO NOT TRUST THE FACTORY HARDWARE! -Some rough ends on the accessories; the side tent/shower annex had some rough unfinished edges (ends of seams, sewing inadequacies, etc) in the package I bought The ugly: -If you are a compulsive builder who looks for a great value but is willing to second guess each of the (cheap) designer’s decisions, this is a great option for you. -The mounting hardware is inadequate. I advise replacing all bolts with something higher grade, and not bothering with the factory hand-turn plastic ‘nuts’. Lose those and replace them with some proper nyloc nuts. Maybe toss in some blue threadlocker. But I would prefer to torque and retorque with a torque wrench on occasion. It’s tought to get around the aluminum slotted pieces that fit into the extruded aluminum bottom rails of the RTT, but those didn’t fail on me so I’m not worried about them. The rails also survived surprisingly well (albeit slightly bent) after an impact and a slide. -The directions were inadequate in some regards, and the side tent annex area that I purchased didn’t come with all the hardware needed for our mounting. It was ironic given it was included with the package, but didn’t include all the needed hardware to mount together (if you read carefully, that’s acknowledged in the included assembly instructions but isn’t included in the seller’s description). Another oddball trip to the hardware store was required for me. -Great price, but take it out for 2-3 outings before really trusting it. I don’t trust the overall initial quality, but I would say after 3-5 good days and nights of camping, you’ll figure out what works and doesn’t (aside from mounting hardware). Giving two stars as I believe with some better hardware and more careful attention to torquing and locking procedures it COULD be a solid choice. But installing it as-is from the factory using the hand tightened factory hardware is asking for heartache.
