111 Review: One candle's battery compartment doesn't close, nothing that a piece of masking tape won't fix, but that's why I took off 1 star. Be patient with the remote-- it does work but it takes a little time to figure it out. Once you figure out the remote, the candles are beautiful and very realistic. Perfect for my mom who has dementia and forgets to turn off the stove and snuff out candles. I would buy these again. Review: Oh my gosh, I absolutely LOVE these candles! I bought the ivory white wax ones. They are so much nicer than others I previously bought. From even a little distance they really do look very nearly like the real thing and the farther away you are the more real they look. The flickering feature is so realistic. The candles flicker individually instead of all alike so that only adds to the realism. The glow is soft and tinted yellow like real candlelight, and the flames are bright like a real flame. The darkened wick and flame tip add to the realism. The only thing that detracts from them looking completely real is being able to see the battery compartment shadow at the bottom. I intend to remedy this by wrapping some burlap ribbon around the bottom. I will change this ribbon out to coordinate with each season. The remote works well except that sometimes it will only turn on/off one or two candles instead of all three at once but if I hit the button again it will catch them all so no big deal. I love that I can put these in places that would be impossible for real candles, like next to curtains or among silk flowers. I have two cats, two dogs (with large wagging tails), and six grandkids ages 2 thru 11 (five of them being rambunctious boys), so using real candles is not an option for me (besides, they create so much indoor air pollution - unless you can afford beeswax candles). I love these so much I intend to buy many more for the other rooms in my house - especially if they ever go on sale!

These candles are incredible!! I had some lit on a kitchen table and as I showed my daughter my new candles, I moved my fingers to pinch the "flame" and totally fooled her! The flame is nice and bright, the flickering looks realistic, and the black wick is bendable so you can make the flames' positions vary a bit. The flames do not move back and forth, though. I thought they would, so I was disappointed at first, but the candles are so good I'm keeping them. I also got the "twill" ones which are coated with real wax. They're both equally good; this resin set is better for situations where the wax could melt or be damaged by rough handling or storage. Great deal, all around. I would definitely buy these again! (oh wait, I just did!)

Updating my review to 5 stars, since the seller reached out and sent me a new set. The timer on the new candles work. The timer unfortunately doesn't work, which is the whole reason I bought these. I can't return them since I threw away the box.
