Merrell Mens Speed Solo Mid Wp

Tested in the Great Smoky Mountains and the Rocky Mountains. As always, love my Merrells. For those day hikes, its hard to beat these. I've tried multiple brands and my Merrells are always the most comfortable. I spent an entire week in these in the Rockies and never got that sore, beat up feeling in my feet like other brands have caused. Great boots for hiking. Weight-wise, they feel middle of the road; not the heaviest boot, not the lightest. But the comfort is there.

These shoes are comfy and warm for winter. If wearing dark jeans, it will stain the shoes, so be careful. Not the shoes fault though. True to size. Great traction and doesn’t look like just a big winter boot. It has style of shoes.

Love these! Only leaving 4 stars for now because I have not used the shoes outside yet. I've been wearing them around the house and they are already so comfortable, I can tell they'll be my new favorite hiking shoe! Can't wait to hit the trails with these this weekend! I was hesitant about the top of the tongue having the exposed foam, but I don't think it will be an issue at all, and a cute pair of mini gators will solve any problems with that anyway. The quality seems great, nice seams, and they seem to be waterproof, but also breathable. They look great with leggings and tall socks too. Plus, for the price, it's almost worth grabbing a second pair. ***UPDATE - removing 1 star because - these are now broken in - still super comfy, my issue is that the rubber of the soles is shredding. Little pieces flaking off and many puncture type "wounds" on the soles. this leads me to believe these will not last long. I broke these in by walking easy well maintained trails, and then did a 7 mile hike up a mountain and when I get back down, the soles were showing a lot of wear. Hoping I'll get a lot of life out of them still, but I feel that it's early for the rubber to be shredding off the soles. Sad because I love the comfort, but wishing the quality was a bit stronger.

No break-in necessary. Fits to size, nice laces, grippy tread. Not for hard core hikers or harsh terrain or very cold conditions. About 1 step above trail running shoes. Perfect for the occasional hiker and look great.

I got these to wear as I recover from an ankle injury. They are supportive and comfortable and soooo cute! Definitely worth the money. I am a size 8 but usually have to size up for bunions. These fit perfectly in the eight with thin socks. So happy!!

Light and comfortable

These trail shoes are extremely comfortable and feel great from the first wear. They fit very well and provide excellent support, making them ideal for long walks and uneven terrain. I will use them mainly for hiking, as they offer the comfort and performance needed for outdoor activities. A solid and reliable choice.
