This surprisingly comfortable pillow began to fluff up with the first very careful little cut made in the vacuum wrap in came in. It was so small that I wasn't sure it was my pillow. It began to fill out and very soon it was so fluffy and soft, I was impressed with the speed in which it filled out. It is a very nice large size pillow, I like it very much. I was also happy to see a care tag sewn into the edge of the pillow. this was a thoughtful gesture of the manufacturer. This well made pillow reached it's full size very quickly. I then got a pillow case for it and placed it on the bed in the guest room, intending to test it out with a short nap a little later. When nap time arrived I went back to the guest bedroom and low and behold! My old cat had claimed the pillow for herself, with one of the dogs laying close to the cat and her pillow. The dog was trying to convince the cat to share the new fluffy pillow. The cat had claimed this comfy pillow and refused to move. I scooted the dog over and carefully removed the cat and lay down for a nap. The pillow felt very comfy and soft. I liked it, When I woke from My nap I found that the cat had shared her pillow with me after all, and was contentedly napping on the pillow with me, the poor dog was laying with her head next to the pillow. This pillow is now officially approved by myself, the feline matriarch, myself and the poor dog who waited until dinner time to sneak back to the guest room, stretch out with her head on the pillow at last. The fluffy comfortable pillow is well made, the seams are all even and tight, no loose threads, and are all straight. The material is also a good quality, and feels nice to the touch, I did test it with a pillow case over it. Before using it, I had placed it in the dryer to fluff and help dry the disinfectant I had sprayed on the pillow. I always do this with pillows and some blankets, all bedding is laundered before using on the bed. This is a good quality pillow that is comfortable to sleep on, well made, feels very nice, fits the pillow case well, with no bunching or lumping in the pillow case, it is easy to put in the pillow case. I do recommend this excellent pillow case for everyone who enjoys a comfortable pillow.

These feather-down pillows feel soft yet supportive, with a breathable 100% cotton cover that gives a real hotel-quality vibe. The medium-firm fill works well for side, back, and stomach sleepers. Comfortable, well-made, and a great value for a cozy night’s sleep.

I let these pillows fluff up for a day before using them and they turned out extremely comfortable. I have had down pillows before that simply don’t have enough support. Especially in the middle of the night when everything‘s compressed and I literally feel like there’s no pillow under my head. However, I do prefer this down over any of the artificial fillers. I like the fact that it’s so ultra soft like silk. Plus, I can’t stand having a pillow that retains heat and causes me to wake up drenched in sweat. So I wanted to go back to having a down pillow, but hoping to find one with a little bit more support. I found this pillow definitely fits the bill since it has a combination of down and feather in it. It is more of a medium firmness. It gives you that great downy fluff, but holds it shape for longer and better. Between the cotton cover and the quality of the materials inside I haven’t had to deal with small feathers poking through and pricking me. Everything has can stay contained in the pillow.

Update 2: FYI, the product listing has changed SIGNIFICANTLY since my updated review, so much so that I can’t be certain the product I reviewed is the same as the one now being sold. When I got it, the description mentioned only feathers & down. Is it possible what I got is (10%) down+feathers over a (90%) polyfill core? I suppose it is (and it would explain the initial unusual springiness)—but I’d have to cut it open to find out and I’m not going to do that, because what ever it is, it is my favorite pillow. Update (after sleeping with it for a week+): after a few days, it started behaving like I’d expect a well-stuffed feather/down pillow to behave (i.e., the unusual springiness is gone). I’ve squeezed and prodded it several times and noticed nothing that feels like foam, polyfil, or anything other than what, in my experience, feathers/down feel like. Thus I’ve changed the review headline and added this bit to the review. Original review follows… First, the shell is nicely tailored and I found it comfortable to sleep on. It’s surprisingly “springy”—i.e., it bounces back from pressure far faster than any down/feather pillow I’ve owned. Which leads me to wonder: is it really a feather pillow? Perhaps it’s a hybrid of feathers and something else? As it lacks one of those labels identifying the materials from which it is made (isn’t that a Federal requirement?), the only way to tell for sure would be to cut it open. I’m not going to do that though, because I like it. Also, I don’t know what the product pic is of a square pillow: the one I received is, as I’d hoped, the standard rectangular shape and size (roughly 62cm x 46cm). [Disclosure: I received this product for “free”—in quotes because the IRS requires I pay federal income tax on the retail value. This review is honest and uncensored by the seller.]
