What do you use it for????

My doctor recommended it, putting it on, topically, for a difficult to heal, "trigger finger" injury, to my middle finger, on my left hand. He urged me to use it 2-3x's a day, and I found, it took a long time, 2-3 years, but it healed it up completely, and made a difference, improving every month... Just had to stick with it, whenever it felt like I reached a plateau, and wasn't making progress, he told me to stay on it, and boy was he right! It eventually, fully healed! And, stayed that way, a couple times, I had a relapse, after lifting large objects for a move, but going back on it, got it healed again swiftly, within a week or two. This really is great, for a difficult trigger finger, that doesn't have good other options... It really works, and if you strain the injury, by lifting things or other reasons, you can get it healed up again, faster...

DMSO can cause garlic breath even when administered topically. Has anyone experienced this, or does the rose scent take care of that? Thanks.

I've had it instilled in my bladder by a urologist, and using it that way definitely causes the garlic smell from breath and even pores. I have t used it topically.

The dmso gel i have is 90% dmso and 10%aloe vera. what is on the market now seems to have been degraded to only 70% dmso. what's with that?

This product is a cream, not a gel. My understanding is that the gel is 90%. The gel is too strong for some people's skin and can cause irritation and substantial redness. I have been quite satisfied with the 70% cream and we are on our 3rd bottle in the last month. It works really well and has no unpleasant odor. The 90% DMSO-based products permeate your skin and can leave a pretty strong odor that you may not notice but that others certainly will pick up on. I know, because I used the 99.9% DMSO internally and it does impart a garlic/onion scent in your sweat. You might want to try the 70% cream and supplement it with an oral dose of MSM in liquid or capsule form. I take up to about 6-8 grams per day of MSM to control my training soreness; I am a 63-year old triathlete and I have found that it just about eliminates my training soreness and the minimal arthritis that I had developed in my hands, shoulders and spine.
